• Windows 7 homegroup problem

Hi, a few months ago my homegroup between my computer and my brothers stopped working. The problem is the person thats connects to the homegroup can see and change the files in the hosts computer, but the host cant do that to the person who connects. Ive tried looking at both firewalls and they dont seem to be the problem. We've alternated hosts to see if it was one of our computers but when we did we had the same problem. Anyone know whats going on/how we can fix it? Some extra info - the problem started i think after i downloaded AVG, ive uninstalled it and it still doesn't work.
Are they both Windows 7? Homegroup only works on Windows 7 machines. Also, be sure that both machines have the proper setting ticked in sharing center.
