Hey, I have this iPod 32Gb of the second generation. It has begun to behave stangely... very strange. It ran out of battery, I connected it to the computer and naturally, it starts chaging with the CHARGING picture. Then it shuts down and Area A begins to overheat. The iPod has the screen off and it is not able to restart or turn on. Pl0x help me.

Do you have all your stuff backed up? You probably have to replace it, because Apple Support is simply dodging problems by giving you new stuff.
Take it to your nearest apple dealer and have them take a look at it

Well played.
I dropped mine in a lake while I was on my sea-doo. It still worked, except there was water under the screen that would move around when I'd use/shake it. Plus it would overheat, and it was laggy at times.
Went to the apple store and got a new one after a while. Warranty doesn't cover water damage, but I used my mastercard insurance.
put it out of its misery.
