Was not expecting Will Smith
Nah that was his son.
Another failed child star that succumbed to drugs and youtube videos.
I bet they let him write his own lines, there's no way ERB did that good.
When I saw the thumbnail: "Hmm... That guy looks like Snoop whateveranimalheisnow"
"Holy fuck it actually is!"
why the FUCK are there people requesting "pewdiepie vs toboscus"?? they'refucking youtubers, the point of these is to have various characters, whether they be fictional or not, rap battle each other, not jackasses who scream into their mics.
How the hell did they get Snoop?

But they are characters, fictional or not.
I see what you mean and where you're coming from, and agree that it wouldn't be a good rap battle.

You expect sense from Tobuscos or PewDiePie fans?
How the hell did they get Snoop?
Epic Rap Battles of History is funded by Maker Studios, who has lots of $$$ and connections. (They have over 1,000 channels in their network, according to wikipedia.)
I can't be the only person here who honestly doesn't like these and think they are pretty try-hard
Not saying they are necessarily bad or anything

i understand, technically they are "characters", but they have literally nothing behind them. the reason why people like abe lincoln or batman works is because they have backgrounds. it gives material to the other 'MC' to use against him. all they have going for them is screaming, and they essentially do the same exact thing. so not only would it make a horrible battle, but it wouldn't follow the theme of the battles in general anyway.

I thought ERB was widely hated on facepunch, The only reason this is not getting hate is because snoop dog.
Nothing pisses me off more than that announcer.

"season 1" was handled by a different group than the current series. It got passed off and got relatively better than the originals.

Exactly.
I was just picking apart your wording, since I've nothing better to do. :v:
I think it's very clear who won here, and if you can't see through the fog, it's the brother who used to be a dog.

Wow, whoever played Moses sucks at rapping.

"Passed off" isn't the right way of putting it - NicePeter and EpicLloyd have been making them the whole time (and usually at least one of them stars in the video). When Season Two started they moved to Maker Studios, so they have a much better setup.

I think the quality varies wildly from rap to rap. Peter's said in behind-the-scenes videos that he always researches stuff because he's unfamiliar with a lot of topics (e.g. playing lots of Halo for Master Chief because he hadn't before). Some of them are rougher because they seem like cash-ins on popular stuff (Batman vs Holmes, Obama vs Romney, Gandalf vs Dumbledore). Others are weak just because they aren't very good (Sinatra vs Mercury, Seuss vs Shakespeare, Lennon vs O'Reilly). But a lot are great because of phat beats and/or good lines (Hogan and Savage vs Jong-Il, Einstein vs Hawking, Mario vs Wright, Gates vs Jobs).
Sinatra vs Mercury was pretty good in my opinion, they could have chosen a more...manlier actor for Freddie though. Seuss vs Shakespeare, I honestly loved the idea behind it, having his creations rap for him but the execution was just annoying, Thing 1 + 2 ruined the song for me, Cat was alright. I didn't like Lennon vs. O'Reilly. The "cash-ins" as you say, were all pretty good but they definitely were cash-ins.
As for this one, I loved Santa's rap even though I honestly wanted Snoop to win, but his flow wasn't as cool, I suppose.
The announcer's thing at the end was pretty cool.

And yes 2 days late, I just remembered a thread gets made for each rap :(
Still can't believe Andre 3000 would go for such a small time role.
