The Facepunch Charity Project
The Facepunch Charity project is a collaborative project to donate to charity for a better world.
How does it work?
You donate to the charity of your choice for example UNICEF or the Red Cross. ONce you have done that, send me a PM on the amount you donated and which charity organization you have donated to. I will then list you in to the list where we can see which users have donated. Let's donate as much as possible!
I donated 1$, can that help?
Yes! Any amount can help!
$25 can provide immunization to protect a child for life against the six leading child diseases: measles, polio, diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus and tuberculosis.
$100 can provide a basic family water kit for ten households, with detergent, soap, wash basin, towels, bucket and water purification tablets.
$250 can provide one "School-in-a-Box" kit containing basic education supplies for 80 children during times of crisis.

Does blood count?
Does blood count?
Not if it's someone else's.
Not if it's someone else's.
no, it's mine.
When I get paid I'll be donating. This is a good idea.

Donated to the Australian Red Cross because I felt that's were my money could help.
Added -n30- to the list.

It's mine now.
I'll go give blood again within the month I feel, i've been putting it off too long
Woah facepunch members aren't usually this generous. Big props to you Mr. T and n3o. And both with big donations
It's incredible how many people you can help with what seems to us as not that much money.
Since I'm shit broke and are unable to donate money, I donate my time instead by volunteering at my local fire station. 80 hours a month, every month if not more. It's hard work, and some shifts (like my one on Friday), I got about 2 hours of sleep and we just kept getting calls. I was dead tired after my shift. I then went and covered another member for three hours after my scheduled shift.
It is totally worth it though. I love the feeling that I'm able to give back to my community when they need help the most. I would never give it up for the world.
I'm looking to get my National Registry EMT card next so I can help out if there is a large casualty event elsewhere in the country. Right now I can only practice in MD.
None of those would accept the $0.89 remaining in my Paypal Account :v:
This is an interesting project you've started. You aren't requiring they donate to you, but you still count how much the community has donated. Kudos to you for this
Hells yes I'll donate. I'm poor as hell, but...there's so much worse out there. :smith:
Gosh, I wish UNICEF would accept Paypal.
They don't accept Paypal, that's bloody stupid.

Paypal has had quite a few issues in the past, and it would be absolutely horrid of someone donated using Paypal and then they somehow bounced the check.
Bumping because I know facepunch can do something nice. Even donate to Cute puppys and kittens!
I work in charity does this count more?
