r.i.p the last 48 hrs of my life
Updated the video, added a full intro ( 40 seconds or so ) to the song
Sounds pretty good.
No idea how it compares with the original, but I like the way yours sounds.
It's pretty cool.
You're missing all the clankiness of the percussion Zimmer did. This sounds good in itself though, although I will say that the samples you're using or at least the way you're playing them are noticably unrealistic - that is samples noticably repeat more so in the bassy percussion and string set. I think it's also a bit too dry - work with some reverberation.
With that said, you still have awesome attention to detail and nailed all of the arpeggios and melodies and it was really worth a listen. Very, very awesome.
That's pretty cool! It sounded a tad mechanic to me for a cinematic piece, but then without having your own orchestra that's probably hard to aviod. Nice work indeed for a solo production, keep it up!
I appreciate your words, and I will do what I can to work out the kinks in the percussion, I might have to slow down the tempo a little to give it room to breathe.
It would help if I were good at mastering tracks and EQing, but I've never had time to learn beyond the music writing.
Also, for any bored guitarists, if you want to record some easy notes and be included (With credit) in the cover I'd like someone to record themselves playing Johnny Marr's guitar parts in the song as well. (Currently using samples)
Tempo/details and notes can be provided
