SPRING HILL, Fla. - Down two legs, and who knows how many lives, a Florida cat missing 11 days somehow arrived home.
Owner Tracie Steger nearly lost hope after search parties and fliers failed to turn up her beloved Giggle-Blizzard. She winced after hearing a car had hit a kitty, and raced to scare off a vulture with a suspicious whisker in its teeth.
But on Thanksgiving night, a yelp from the porch gave her quite a shock. A car had smashed his back legs a week ago, but Giggle-Blizzard somehow got back. He knew the area from walking unleashed with Steger's seven other cats and two dogs.
After two operations he's back in Steger's menagerie, sporting Christmas-colored splints. It cost $3,000, but Steger can't contain her joy.
I am not a cat person, but this makes me feel warm inside :3:
Giggle-Blizzard?
what fucking kind of a name is Giggle-Blizzard?
what fucking kind of a name is Giggle-Blizzard?
clearly only given to fucking badass pets
I can see why it ran away in the first place.

Cat probably went into shock or something and ran off in a panic.
Fuck, for some reason I get much more sad when animals get hurt rather then humans.
Probably because humans have done some fucked up shit.
7 cats and 2 dogs?!?!? Jesus Christ, pets are cool and all, but having 9 of em is crossing the line between sane and insane...

Fix'd
Good kitty
That's quite a random name. Clearly that woman loves a search engine and Warcraft way too much.

But i'm really happy for the cat.

That is natural though, humans do fucked up shit and find it funny.

I dunno. My cat was waiting outside the door with a bird in it's mouth, looking through the window. As if saying "HEY! CHECK OUT WHAT I FOUND! COME ON, LET ME IN, DUDES, YOU GOTTA SEE THIS!"
I have a fat black cat that I named Sushi, she can still catch birds. Every time I see her do it I applaud her glorious fatfulness.

How is that natural exactly?
How is that natural exactly?
Cat - small predator, hunts things because it's natural to them.
That's a heart breaking story... I mean leg breaking.

Domestic cats don't usually kill most things smaller than themselves. Usually they just bat them around like a toy and make their lives a world of pain and mysery.

Still natural to toy with their food.

They don't eat it though. I've never seen a cat eat anything thing it caught. They either kill it in the process of 'toying with it', or they just leave it do die.
Pssh i had an outside cat once it was gone weeks and would either come back with half a tail, or an laceration to the throat. All we needed to fix it was a big dab of vaseline in the wound. Never got an infection. Course this was one of those feral back country cats that can survive nuclear fallout.
It only died from internal bleeding after being attacked by a pack of coyotes.
2 weeks after the attack
Edit:

The actually do it to impress those who they view as greater than them, or to those they think are lesser and need to be taught how to hunt.
The outside cat in which i was refering to was in no way domestic, it lived at our house ever since its mother left as a kitten. We kept it around and brought it in the house during winter, since it would keep mice from getting into our house.
I had an outside cat that lost half its tail too. And his left eye was all fucked up and he couldn't open it. He disappeared one day and I never saw him again. :frown: He was like 10 years old.
Outside cats are literrally indestructable, i remember one night i had realized i forgot to feed him for awhile, 3 days later he returned to my porch fast asleep with what looked like rounded poop with blood everywhere. Upon further inspection it was a organ... of a rabbit, i knew it was a rabbit because the only thing Sky (my cat) left for us was his trophy; a severed and maimed head with part of the spine attached.
I love how cats bring trophies back. :3:

Oh hahaha.
That was funny. Your cat is awesome.
I've never heard of such dedication coming from a cat.

This may come as a surprise to you but "blizzard" is actually another word for "snow storm"
Next time, I wont be so full of christmas cheer, cat. You have been warned :argh:
Kind of reminds me of my cat's similar endeavor.
