Wildstar, what a tragic game.
I hate that this game did as poorly as it did. It had so much potential. But they really shot themselves in the foot with a lot of poor decisions in an otherwise solid game. Im holding out hope for a SWTOR style comeback, but without the Star Wars and Bioware name that may not happen...
They must be avid fans of necromancy. I mean, what else explains how this game is still alive?
They must be avid fans of necromancy. I mean, what else explains how this game is still alive?
A heavy investment. Basically, they dumped a lot of money in to the project, so they're going to keep it on life support so long as its making a little more revenue than it costs to keep it running.
The new update will also add a new level 50 zone called the Delfie. The Delfie will feature new high-level content for those with maxed-out characters. They'll also be able to find new group instances like the Black Focus quest and the massive 20-person Siege of the Lightspire raid, which spans five parts.
Aww, what happened to your epic 40 man raids you were so insistent would bring in all the hardcore ex-WoW players? Did you finally remember why WoW lowered raid sizes?
what do you expect from ncsoft? i'm not suprised this gone south, the only good game they made was city of heros but that's gone for good as well...

Did you finally remember why WoW lowered raid sizes?
It wasn't really the size of the raids that killed it, it was their overall dungeon philosophy. Imagine doing 100 jump ropes in a single sitting, and if you failed any single jump you have to start from the beginning. Now imagine that with 5, 20, 40 people. That's how pretty much all dungeon bosses were like in wildstar, its not a good way to do it. Doing that sparingly would work, but not for everything. The old WoW 40 mans worked a lot better, because you only really needed like 20-30 of the people to be fully active, except for the absolute highest end of content.
So what exactly happened to Wildstar Did people just get bored and leave or what
