He was 39. Sources told the newspaper that Moore was found unconscious by his partner, Hunter Hill, in the bathroom of their Soho home on Thursday after an apparent overdose of OxyContin. He was pronounced dead soon after responders arrived. "We're in shock," Moore's father, Bill, told the Daily News. He added that when he spoke to his son just the night before, he was in a "great, great mood." The building's doorman was equally surprised. "I was talking to him last night. He was such a sweet guy," he told the New York Post. "They're saying it was drugs, but I didn't know him to be that way." An official cause of death will be determined by autopsy. Moore also wrote 'Hero,' a 2007 book about the world's first gay teen superhero. He and Hill wrote and directed 'Lake City,' a 2008 drama starring Sissy Spacek and Rebecca Romijn.

Moore also wrote 'Hero,' a 2007 book about the world's first gay teen superhero.
There are some things I'm not sure i'd want in my obituary
Don't worry, he'll be back. Maybe or maybe not in lion form. But seriously, RIP.
Does the guy who wrote this even know that the films are based on a book series of seven books? And that Moore got the rights for all seven of them?
Have only three been produced in the theaters?
Does the guy who wrote this even know that the films are based on a book series of seven books? "OxyContin overdose" Isn't that what killed Michael Jackson?
I didn't think the Narnia movies were that bad. But it's pretty sad to see a guy so early in his career die like this, it sucks.
Hunter Hill
Is that a guy's or a girl's name?
Is that a guy's or a girl's name?
I'm going to assume it's a guy.
Partner usually means person of the same sex
Don't know why he was on OkyContin but if it was for medical reasons this is a good example of why we should legalize weed for at least medicinal use.
:frown:
Fuck, first Jacques now this guy? Sad shit.
Does this mean we won't get any more movies?
Does this mean we won't get any more movies?
I hope so.
Don't know why he was on OkyContin but if it was for medical reasons this is a good example of why we should legalize weed for at least medicinal use.
Weed is legalized for medicinal use.
Fuck, first Jacques now this guy? Sad shit.
Brian Jacques is dead? :smithicide:
Brian Jacques is dead? :smithicide:
Yep. :(
Wow what a shitty way to end. [editline]20th February 2011[/editline] Wait the BBC said he died in Manhattan not Soho. Source
They're not the BBC films but they're ok, poor guy.
Man, I thought those movies were good. I hope they find someone to replace him.
Indeed. With Moore gone, who will inherit the rights to the movies? Also, sucks to lose a producer so early in his career, so early in his life too.

It's interesting to note that The Chronicles of Narnia are a thinly veiled retelling of the Gospel.
The first 3 were great and this is a sad loss. Who's going to make the next 4 movies though?
It's interesting to note that The Chronicles of Narnia are a thinly veiled retelling of the Gospel.
I'm sick of hearing this. I'm not religious but it doesn't mean I can't enjoy the goddamn books. Not an attack on you though. It's just that every Christian that knows that I'm not religious and that I have read the Narnia books, always loves to tell me that they're based off the Bible.
The first 3 were great and this is a sad loss. Who's going to make the next 4 movies though?
Michael Bay.
Michael Bay.
Don't bet on it. Worse case would be Peter Jackson or Jerry Bruckheimer and We all don't want that to happen
He's in Narnia now..
He's in Narnia now..
probably reincarnated as a gopher
