In 2002, another man, a convicted rapist and murderer, confessed to the assault, and his DNA did match semen that was found on the victim. No DNA evidence has been found to tie any of the Central Park 5 to the crime.
The Central Park 5 were exonerated, and in 2014, New York paid them a $41 million settlement.
But Trump still is not buying their innocence.
Remember: Trump is absolutely not a racist, and he has the best temperament.
Can't wait to see people defend him/blindly agree with him. As much as I'll say that sometimes our justice system can be shitty with handling DNA evidence, when you have that plus a confession to match ? There shouldn't be any question.
does he have a pr department
like there must be someone going like "look you can't just fucking say anything you want"
right?

Well, 90% of his support base seems to love him exactly for that no matter the context.

Honestly this kind of shit appeals to the kind of people who would vote Trump. This is Trump "telling it like it is!" and "Not being a PC pussy!".
You would think they would at least try to get him to appeal to undecided people (beyond "I love [DEMOGRAPHIC], love them."), but at this point i'm going to assume logical argument isn't a strong factor for people voting Trump.

Here's the full page ad Trump took out in New York newspapers about the attack in 1989. A few new sites are suggesting he paid $85,000 at the time to put the full page ads in the papers.
I think this embodies Donald's philosophy and those people who support him. "I ascribe to this worldview and damned the facts that say otherwise!"
