Trump says his State of the Union viewership was the highest ever. The ratings say otherwise.

It's the inauguration all over again!
President Trump on Thursday boasted that the viewership of his State of the Union speech was “the highest number in history” — a claim at odds with ratings figures released the day before.
I watched it to see if I could get a good laugh. I got several. Especially when the GOP side got up and clapped whenever Trump breathed.

clapping is pretty normal for all of them it seems

If you don't clap you probably get put on the purge list.
It's Inauguration Day all over again.
Also, bragging that your propaganda partner, Fox, got the most views is like bragging that the Ass-Eating network got the most views during an ametuer ass-eating competition.
Fake news
I think I know partially where Trump gets these crazy ideas and delusions. Remember all those stories about how his cabinet and staff has to babysit him like a child and tell him whatever he wants to hear, or he gets cranky and throws tantrums? This is probably one of those things.
Trump is very predictable in a lot of ways. Anyone could have predicted that he'd claim it was the highest ratings ever etc etc etc

You think it's just his cabinet and staff? This has been his entire life basically. It's the ultimate example of what happens when you do nothing but spoil and praise a child.
The dude just can't help himself. He always has to make himself look like the best and biggest ever, and will lie about it even when said lies are very easily proven otherwise. It's like watching a caricature of narcissism.
It's pretty wild how Trump is being mythologized before his term is even up
It's pretty wild how Trump is being mythologized before his term is even up
Welcome to a front-seat experience for how cults of personality work. The propaganda is just getting started.

I am legitimately worried about his cult of followers who seem unable to even perceive his negative qualities.
Just as a sidenote to this, my mom is watching Fox right now.
It is incredibly unnerving how much people are willing to just buy into blatant propaganda. Such as the phrase "Will Democrats love America more than they hate the president?"

Por que no los dos?
I wish Fox News would just die. It's maliciously deceptive calling themselves 'News' as an 'entertainment' network.

It should be illegal. Blatant false advertising.
All you need to know about Fox News is that the entire reason it even launched was because Roger Ailes and the political right believed that if there had been a better propaganda machine in place, Nixon wouldn't have been forced out of office by Watergate. It was a "news" network literally created to protect corruption and criminality among right wing politicians. Today, it lives up to its ultimate purpose in propagandizing for Trump.
Trump has also made these tweets a few hours ago citing a quote that GPS Fusion was backed by the Hillary Foundation to "create a Dossier which was used by their allies in the Obama Administration to convince a Court misleadingly".

The memo will be released in 1 hour and I assume trump will tweet more.

Man, reading responses to Trump tweets is one of the most surreal things ever. I honestly don't understand how anyone can possibly be so out of touch with reality and not realize it.
Watch this implicate the republican party even more and blow up in his fucking face.

So, the republican Mueller, is against republicans and in favor of democrats.

If you read into the replies there's people justifying it with bullshit about globalism. (And then promptly ignoring arguments that Trump is a globalist himself what with his companies constantly outsourcing to other countries/illegal immigrants.)
idk why OmTheory posted those memo tweets in this thread but since we are on that topic, I'm becoming more convinced by the hour that the memo is simply a perpetuation of the idea that the DoJ wiretapped Trump due to a false dossier paid for by Democrats. Both points have been debunked but that seems to be what the teases are about.

FBI top leadership and investigators are Republican Trump appointees lol.
Also 'member when the reason he gave for firing Comey was because he was unfair to Clinton ?
It's pretty funny to hear Trump of all people accusing the dems of politicizing the investigation.
A White House official, who was not authorized to speak for the president and spoke on the condition of anonymity, said that Trump intended to say that the cable ratings for his speech were the highest ever. In addition to the broadcast networks, the speech was carried on several cable networks, including Fox News, MSNBC and CNN, as well as the Spanish-language channels Univision and Telemundo.
LMAO. Spanish aren't looking so bad now, eh, Trump?

I miss the Trump supporters trying to justify his decisions as reasonable or good.
