• Jon Stewart: Hillary Clinton Failing To "Render Her Inauthenticity" Fast Enough To Avoid Lag
Former host of the Daily Show Jon Stewart explains his feelings about Hillary Clinton... "She reminds me of Magic Johnson's talk show," Stewart told David Axelrod, in an interview at the University of Chicago. "Magic Johnson was a charming individual, but he wasn't a talkshow host. When you watched his show, you could almost see Arsenio Hall's advice to him, in real time, rendering. He would sit and go: My first guest tonight, oh Arsenio said enthusiasm is something that would sell, my first guest tonight is Cher! But it never seemed real in his personality, but like an outfit designed by someone else, for someone else, to be someone else."
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2016/05/11/jon_stewarts_comments_about_hillary_clinton_ignore d_by_media_all_week.html
That... is actually a really good way of putting it.
Haven't heard of Stewart for a while since the 9/11 compensation thing.
I don't follow John Stewart too much outside of having occasionally watched his show, but he seems pretty well spoken. The same seems to also be the case with Colbert.

He's been on O'Reilly a couple of times and he's dropped some mad truths

You have the idealistic outsider, who's being crushed by the establishment candidate, and even Donald Trump because fuck subtlety. [editline]12th May 2016[/editline] Oh and don't forget Cruz losing a NY district to a candidate who's not even in the race.
man i miss jon stewart. the new daily show and larry wilmore's show are good but neither of them fill the hole that stweart left behind
man i miss jon stewart. the new daily show and larry wilmore's show are good but neither of them fill the hole that stweart left behind
trevor noah is good, i feel bad for him and the shoes he was left to fill
trevor noah and larry wilmore were the salt on the wound when Jon Stewart left. Colbert and John Oliver are the only ones that can fill that void.
I wish they would've replaced Stewart with Jessica Williams or John Oliver instead of the boring twit that's on now.
trevor noah and larry wilmore were the salt on the wound when Jon Stewart left. Colbert and John Oliver are the only ones that can fill that void.
eugh no john oliver is informative and well-spoken, but all of his wit comes from the writing. none of his charisma feels like it's his own
trevor noah is good, i feel bad for him and the shoes he was left to fill
Blame CC trying to fill their most popular show with, sadly, a nobody in standards. Trevor is a funny and good guy, but hes nowhere near a Jon Stewart. That said, id blame the writers more than Trevor himself. Seems like the writers had the biggest quality drop, I mean Jon had them, but with Noah they arent nearly as good.
eugh no john oliver is informative and well-spoken, but all of his wit comes from the writing. none of his charisma feels like it's his own
John Oliver does to the jokes he's given what Lennie does to bunny rabbits.
John Oliver does to the jokes he's given what Lennie does to bunny rabbits.
He should be more challenging against him, because coming from a major Jon/Stephen fan where John had a big presence in, Johns show right now is a bit shit and too biased. Oliver himself is fantastic, its been proven in both daily show and Colbert, but fuck me if he isnt pretty shit on his own for 20 minutes.
trevor noah and larry wilmore were the salt on the wound when Jon Stewart left. Colbert and John Oliver are the only ones that can fill that void.
I actually enjoy Wilmore, Noah can be really cringe at times but Wilmore can go from 0-100 real quick
eugh no john oliver is informative and well-spoken, but all of his wit comes from the writing. none of his charisma feels like it's his own
I disagree. He just has a very distinct way of doing things and to be honest I quite enjoy his show.
trevor noah is good, i feel bad for him and the shoes he was left to fill
He really is not good, nor is Larry Wilmore for that matter. Noah is just.. Not very funny, and Wilmore's show is basically "Comedy Central Presents: 30 Minutes of White Guilt, Pandering and Identity Politics". Keep it 100 y'all!

Keep it 100 y'all!
idk, i really like trevor. his humor and his mannerisms have real charm, unlike john oliver's by-the-books comedy where every joke is the same but with a new coat of paint over it. wilmore just comes off as an angry old man. i think noah could use a completely different style though, something that will never happen as long as he's in the same show stewart brought to fame.
I actually enjoy Wilmore, Noah can be really cringe at times but Wilmore can go from 0-100 real quick
I've never watched Wilmore's show, but his White House Correspondent's Dinner speech was absolute cringe. If he runs every joke straight into the ground the way he did with the "Ted Cruz/Zodiac Killer" joke, then he should never be in front of a camera again.
I've never watched Wilmore's show.
And you really shouldn't bother, his entire show is just "DUDE WHITE PEOPLE LMAO". It was fine in short spurts when he was on daily show but an entire show dedicated to it is just bad.
video removed?
video removed?
Full video's here. Worth watching/listening to the whole thing.
And you really shouldn't bother, his entire show is just "DUDE WHITE PEOPLE LMAO". It was fine in short spurts when he was on daily show but an entire show dedicated to it is just bad.
i doubted this when someone told me about it and then i saw a clip from his show, some news about robots being made better or something, and the beginning of the clip was trevor screaming "FUCK WHITE PEOPLE" and telling "the robots" to "kill the white people" because "a brother wouldn't poke a robot with a hockey stick" i think the joke about hockey sticks and robots together mightve gone completely over my head. is it a reference to something? but yeah no, trevors pretty bad. i roll my eyes when i see the commercial where someone claims hillary clinton is the type of person who "has gotten her coffee delivered to her all her life" and trevor's response is "yeah clinton gets it delivered and i bet bernie makes it himself from his own farms am i right lmao" shut up idiot
eugh no john oliver is informative and well-spoken, but all of his wit comes from the writing. none of his charisma feels like it's his own
John Oliver isn't funny but he's informative which is why I watch him. Colbert is funny but not as informative so I watch them both as a replacement for Jon Stewart as some sort of hybrid. Larry Wilmore and Trevor Noah gave terrible first impressions. When I watched them, they would never stop talking about discrimination towards race or gender. I already know that there is a serious problem with discrimination, but that's all they seem to talk about.
The joke is black people don't understand technology or hockey.
that's not it at all. the joke was "it was a white guy poking you, don't come after us! we don't even play hockey" the last bit's playing off a minor stereotype but it's certainly not about 'not understanding' hockey, and the punchline had nothing to do with technology

Trevor's seem sort of plead-y, in a way.
