When I run something that has a lower resolution than my monitor, when I exit it, the screen will stay whatever size the resolution of the game was. However, the taskbar and desktop are streched, it's only the portion I can see that's the low resolution.
In other words, I can only see a portion of my desktop because the resolution got fucked up.
That's VGA for you :P
Before anybody votes "dumb" or shit like that, read some articles on why DVI is better than VGA.

What do you mean by the screen? And what OS are you running and what are your specs.
@1337asian
It's HDMI. Try again.

Vista Home Premium 32-bit.
The screen, like the actual screen of the computer. Not the monitor itself, but what's being displayed.
Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 @ 2.93GHz
4GB RAM
500GB Hard Drive
Nvidia GeForce 9800GTX
Try updating video drivers
