So, a couple days ago, my computer started being slow... then it started freezing. and freezing. and freezing. Eventually, I tried a system restore, but guess fucking what? I hadn't had any 'save points' and all of the good restore points were DELETED. So, I had to scan my computer multiple times, update my virus software twice (It froze mid-download), and have run Malware Bytes. I was also very much in denial that I had a virus, so I checked my memory. (It was a virus) I got rid of it for a couple of days. But, now it's back. The downloader is gone, I know that for sure. But, I'm pretty sure it downloaded malware before I discovered it.
Now, I'm sitting here with the SAME symptoms as before. Did malware download before? Did it come back? What now? I'm mid-system restore, so I have hopes it'll fix it. (For once, I had a point before it started.)
(This may be of help: Sometimes when it's mid freeze, it goes to a black screen with something along the lines of Boot system/disc that says like boot system with disc or something absurd like that) I'm pretty sure that's the malware talking)
Help. :suicide:

What antivirus are you using? Try going into safe mode and scanning from there

Alright thanks, I tried this.
So far so good....
12 hours later and still working fine.... I think I'm OK, but I'll have to see after I turn it off for around a couple hours and turn it back on... It came back one time, so I'm pretty sure it's gonna happen again.
give me the mbam logs, i want to know what the infection is
Well, seeing as it's been days and nothing has happened... ( The relapse happened after a day, it's been at least 2 now) So, it's fine for now..
Also, a windows update broke WMP, and that was causing a LOT of the crashes.
