YES. FINALLY. I've wanted to play this game at above 15 FPS forever
If they get rid of the black bars I'll buy it.
Fucking yes finally yay
holy shit i never thought it would actually happen
I've been wanting to play this for ages but never wanted to order a copy off amazon, fantastic
Oh thank fuck, I'd already given up hope some time last year. This one in particular for whatever reason just felt like it belonged on PC.
Fucking finally, loved this game but the platform it was on kept getting in the way. In my old house the 360 was shared, I moved around a whole lot, and when I moved out permanently the 360 stayed behind. So glad it's finally going to be on PC, hope they don't fuck up the port
Copied over from my post at SH:
Game's great for those who haven't played it. I love the combat in this game, more so than even Dark Souls and Bloodborne. The story's wonky though, and the romance options are hilariously broken. You could bed anyone and you won't even know who until the end of the game.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME
I AM SO STOKED
OH MY FUCKING GODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
AWWW YEEEEEEEEEEEE
I was having so much trouble playing it on console due to the terrible framerate. Now I can finally enjoy this.
THANK YOU CAPCOM
This game was the king of ARPG boss battles. It's going to be stunning on PC. PS3 version really struggled to keep its 30fps cap at 720p. I wish they would ditch the pawns and just let us COOP online.
ALSO, the game runs on the awesome MT Framework engine which Resident evil 5/6, Devil May Cry 4 and Lost Planet 2 all ran very well on PC

Seems like they did, and they have 4k screens!
OH!!!!!
I've been playing Dragons Dogma Online on PC and all I can say is I am so freaking happy this is happening. If I wasn't so terribly dehydrated I might've peed myself a little with excitement.
Something that has irked me a little bit in Dragons Dogma Online is that the framerate is either limited to 30fps or 60fps. I hope there is no limit so I can run it at 144. If the game is locked to 60fps though, I will probably supersample 4k which I'm sure I will still be able to hit 60fps with, so it will be buttery smooth.
I also hope that the textures get updated, but if not that the game is in someway moddable and someone eventually takes the effort to update some of the more common textures.
holy crap! I'm soo excited for this shit! I found this game to be unplayable on the 360, but now I can play it on PC!! ahhhh!
I'm severely cautious.
I'll believe this when I get my hands on it and it doesn't run like horse-shit.
OmygodYES!
Am I the only one who didn't really like this game? The whole "online" aspect of it and the "relationship" thing really ruined it for me. Sometimes fighting felt really drawn out and could be exhausting at times.
I played through it once and did some extra things, but never really felt like playing through it again.
The pawn system was shit. I mean did anyone really care about pawn sharing that much? I set my pawn up with all the skills and attributes and shit that everyone said were the best and they still sucked. I'm 100% certain anyone who said their pawn was actually any good was either lying or just witnessed a rare moment when the AI didn't act retarded.

More often than not, mine was dealing substantial damage.

Holy shit I agree. The gameplay and all was awesome, but the way most of the story was presented through text boxes on the quest screen made me indifferent to it.
But still, the combat system more than made up for it.
Also, the ending was priceless (imagine my character looked like an inbred Frodo Baggins):
[sp]Dragon: "I've captured your loved one!"
"Noo! I'll save you prin- Who's that random peasant? Huh, guess Froddle Baggles was gay all along"[/sp]
I knew it was something weird about the [sp] bonfire scene at the beach after the adventurer quest[/sp]
I was looking at this game and wishing it was on pc now my wish will be true thank you jesus

Mine were always really good teammates as well. If you want pawns, find the /ddg/ thread on 4chans /vg/ board, 90% of what they talk about there is their hugely optimized waifu super-pawns.
Please do not fuck this up Capcom PLEASE.
The thought of playing this at 60fps makes me hard but knowing how great the original was made with very little reason for it to be poorly optimized. I have a feeling it will be a godawful port.
My heart jumped a little bit when I saw the title.
It hasn't done that in a while.
This game is pure amazement.
It has quite a few flaws, but they give the game a great deal of character.
It had a great amount of RPG depth, very flexible combat on-par with Dark Souls. It's also extremely immersive and probably one the best forms of exploration in an RPG I've seen in a while; going out into the world is an actual trek that you need to prepare for properly.
It could also be hard as fuck, especially in the beginning.
Can't wait!
If they don't fuck up the port then this is probably going to be the third damn time I buy this game, really love Dragon's Dogma and being able to play it at an actually decent frame rate and resolution will be great.
