1. Take feature or mode out of game
2. Put it back in game as free DLC
3. Free good publicity!
It could've also been
1. Want feature or mode in game
2. Feature freeze months before launch before you can get to it and therefore anything you do is a branch off the released build
3. Decide to implement it anyway since the development portion (not the testing portion) of the studio has nothing to really do in the meanwhile.
4. Put it back in the game as launch-day DLC after polishing it and getting the greenlight.
5. Free extra content to hopefully gain even more sales (unexpected additional content).
Don't tell me it wasn't planned to a free part to the game in the first place?
That's just so ridiculous.
Remember when they didn't have to advertise it as free DLC because its freeness was implied?
"Free DLC"
In my time we called that a patch or an update.

Actually reading the article it's more like this.
1. Game isn't done.
2. Remove unfinished content.
3. Add it back as free DLC, aka an update.
A DmC thread without "FUCK YOU". Amazing.
A Capcom game with free DLC announced. Even more amazing.

Bloody Palace for this game obviously isn't finished yet, so it's not included in the game.
And yet you whine about them going to release it later for free?
Jeez.

How is that any excuse?
It was a feature for the other games on release, why cant DmC be the same?

It seems a bit redundant, but I felt I had to.
But now I won't need to post the gif.

But it is the same :v:
Only difference is that in this case, it wasn't finished by release, so they're adding it in later for free.

To be fair, sometimes they can't fit it on the disk.

Its not the same.
It would be the same if it had the mode on release.
Game worth getting for pc?
Game worth getting for pc?
As long as you have a gamepad, and you're not as as Dante-conservative as the rest of Facepunch :v:

If you've never played a DMC game before in your life and want a meh quality hack n slash, I'd say wait for a considerable price drop. I'm talking $20 or less.
Otherwise, don't bother. Get DMC4. It's a wonderful port that looks fantastic and runs smooth as silk.

DMC4 for PC was my first DMC.
.. I played it with a keyboard and it was absolutely horrible :v:
Fuck this DLC.

good old days of gaming
Too bad the game is insanely easy compared to previous DMCs and you can do ridiculous infinite combos and stay in the air indefinitely without any real effort.

The only 'positive' thing I can say in the game's defense is that this seems to be an early area in the game and thus, well, easy due to obvious reasons, even on the hardest difficulty.
But then Ninja Theory and Tameem pretty much confirmed that if it existed in the demo exploit-or-glitch-wise, it's probably in the final product, and with people saying how the demo alone plays like Heavenly Sword 2.0, this isn't boding well. And if any of the alleged leaks are to be confirmed, the game's going to be short as fuck, which means even if this is the near-beginning of the game, there probably won't be much time to actually scale the difficulty up by the game's end without some nasty spikes. [sp]not that length would be a surprise considering both modern games and NT's track record[/sp]
