Wow. I had no idea it was that bad.
How does that even happen? Like, that's fuckin' greyer than what's coming out the ass of a car.
I like how the air quality is so bad the last several pictures in the gallery are just black
Jesus, the smog wasn't even that severe when I was there last May. I'm going there again this may, looks like I should change my plan to go somewhere else
jk, the pics didn't load
How convenient that they have a bunch of empty cities just waiting to be populated.
Just from those two pictures, it looks like the setting to a post apocalyptic movie or game. That's tragic, I can only imagine what kind of conditions show up at their hospitals, then wonder if the hospitals use that air in the building.
This is just insane. I thought it was dark and grey because it was overcast, but nope, there's the sun.
You idiots! you put our entire nations industrial section in one town!
Now I want to play New Vegas and visit the sierra madre. Completely unrelated, but why the hell do they make it so you can only visit the expansions once?
Now I want to play New Vegas and visit the sierra Nevada. Completely unrelated, but why the hell do they make it so you can only visit the expansions once?
You can only visit the Sierra Madre once all the other DLC locations you can go back to

During some months it may seem alright, but on others it's going to be like this.
Looks worse than turn-of-the-century London.
is it just me or does Beijing look like something from a crappy cyberpunk novel
I remember a slight case of smog hitting Atlanta once, even though I lived about an hour away, I couldn't stop sneezing, coughing, and having my eyes water. How could a human live in smog that abysmal?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/DLZu37v.jpg[/t] [editline]24th April 2013[/editline] Nice weather. :v:
[t]http://i.imgur.com/USO24Dsh.jpg[/t] This one looks like a filter was applied to the picture.
is it just me or does Beijing look like something from a crappy cyberpunk novel
More or less. Pretty sad.
Damn, this place makes overcast and raining Seattle seem like fucking Florida.
More or less. Pretty sad.
I took a photo of the same IBM building while I was there in May, and it looked NOTHING like it back then That brown haze in the background isn't even smog, it's merely the light from sunset
Reminds me of
Jesus, the smog wasn't even that severe when I was there last May. I'm going there again this may, looks like I should change my plan to go somewhere else
Yeah when I went years ago it didn't look any different from any sprawling mega-city.
is it just me or does Beijing look like something from a crappy cyberpunk novel
blade runner takes place in 2019 we're almost there! [t]http://www.jubbling.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/blade-runner-los-angeles-2019.jpg[/t] [editline]e[/editline] a lot of these "APOCALYPTIC SMOG SO THICK YOU CAN'T SEE THE GROUND" pictures are taken in the worst conditions (probably little/no wind dispersing it). it isn't usually this bad visibly but the quality is no less awful for your health
How do you manage to fuck up that bad? You'd figure that would be a top priority in their economy's funding.
are you fucking kidding me I'm watching Blade Runner right now
Maybe the Chinese government will become so embarrassed they will start to do something about it. They are just starting to try and curb the worst excesses of pollution at the moment. Also it's true, they have started to do things like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Wall_of_China http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/feb/04/china-green-tax-polluters?CMP=twt_gu
Maybe the Chinese government will become so embarrassed they will start to do something about it. They are just starting to try and curb the worst excesses of pollution at the moment.
The Chinese government are already taking pretty strict measurements in trying to cut back the emissions. For example, if you live in Beijing you can only drive 2 out of 7 days of the week, and the days are selected based on what your license plate number ends with. There are simply too much emission activities going on in Beijing due to population, it's not easy to control that.
Maybe the Chinese government will become so embarrassed they will start to do something about it.
