• Sewer Blocked by Large Pooh
A large Winnie the Pooh teddy, a bike, a fax machine, jeans and a snake were among a host of bizarre items found in Scotland's sewers last year. Scottish Water said it dealt with more than 40,000 blockages in the drains and sewer network. Most were caused by people putting things such as cooking oil, nappies and baby wipes down sinks and toilets. It is running an awareness campaign to highlight the issue, which it said creates costs of more than £7m a year.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-26195258
How did the fax machine or any of those items find their way in there? Can you imagine trying to flush large jeans down the toilet? That should not even be possible.

I have been clickbaited by this article twice now.. Still, its interesting though. They seem to have a major issue in Scotland with people flushing / throwing stuff down the sewers that don't belong there based on the stuff in the related articles.
I wonder if it'll pay to be a tofsman down in the sewers these days, you never know what sort of good shit you might find down there. :v:

Until about 15 years ago, when we had to get a newer one that was more conservative with water we had a toilet that was capable of flushing a large grapefruit with no problem. Granted its not a pair of jeans or a fax machine, but there are some powerful toilets.
Oh bother.
