My Western Digital Passport drive has recently undergone an "accident" long story short the pins where the cord goes in are either bent and the ones that arent bent are missing. Is there anything I can do to fix this myself because Western Digital has told me they do not sell or replace that part. With a bit of know-how you could solder a new USB mini-B connector. In my opinion that would the the best solution, it shouldn't be too hard as long as you have some other device like an old camera or phone you can rip a mini-B connector from.
Is this on your cord or on the hard drive. Try pushing them back and seeing if it will connect. A connection is a connection. I know cpus and vga cables still work with pins missing.
