Nice oats, guys.
We have an old Mark Twain deck boat with an 80's Mercury 4-stroke 150 HP outboard motor. Not sure of the year or make on the boat itself, it sat in my late grandma's garage for over 20 years. We finally dragged it out and after rebuilding the motor, fixing several leaks, a crack in the transom, a speedometer peeing on whoever was in the driver's seat, and a bunch of rotting wood, it was finally up and running for a while. But then right as we got it back the last repair stretch, the carburetor is belching out gasoline. And the wiring harness is fucked all to hell. Our family has bad boat luck. One problem fixed, two more pop up... I'd post pics but I'd have to snatch my parent's cameras.

Great price and very fun to sail.
Damn, that sucks. If you're into sailboats give a sunfish a try. We live in Ohio and we go to Lake Cumberland in Kentucky (as part as the so-called "Ohio Navy") and that's not big/windy enough in a lot of places for a sailboat. The biggest part of the lake near Wolf Creek Dam isn't really big enough either. Lake Cumberland is ruled by massive and large amounts of house boats, speedyboats, deckboats and pontoon boats. Don't get me wrong, they look like a ton of fun. My parents want to move to Florida and leave me behind so maybe they'll get to have fun with sailboats in the Gulf. :v:

I went on a boat for a week last summer down in the Keys. Fit 9 people on a 42 foot long sailboat. Wasn't bad at all. I would LOVE to do it again.

I like boats. [editline]28th July 2012[/editline] How about some of Cousteau's boats: His famous Calypso, which he purchased for one frank a year. The Calypso II, which was never constructed. Used Cousteau's turbosail for propulsion. Cousteau's Alcyone. He built this to test the turbosail. It still carries on his mission today.
Just look at that note.
I was out on the ocean for the very first time yesterday. I've never thrown up so many times in my life before, and the fact that it was a goddamn dory boat didn't help much :v:
Last time I was on one was a small sailing boat with friends about a year and a few months ago. Was great fun. Capsized it too.
