To start with, Elder Scrolls Online is a single player RPG in which other players happen to be around.
So it's a shallower version of Skyrim?
So... they actually listened when everyone went "OH GODDAMNIT not another WoW clone!"

Yeah, then they went and made a GW2 clone.
As we watched, groups of 20+ testers fired ballistas and catapults at the walls of a keep, shattering the brick-face, before bringing a battering rod to the front gate to smash it down.
They could've at least tried to hide it.
Reading this article reminds me of this other article.
The art direction, aside from the huge orcs has actually imrpoved.
Now your sword wont be the width of your thigh.

Not like there are any other combat styles that work with an RPGMMO easily..
Even a good MMO will probably fail to generate demand from PC gamers. They underestimate MMO fatigue.
If they ever decide to add support for the Oculus Rift in first person mode, it might become the first VRMMO. It could be pretty cool.

I can see they listened to what people had to say about Argonians.
I'm gonna try it out. If its subscription based I think I'd just stop playing after a while though.. I'M BROKE AS SHIT! Well, occasionally due to school.

Just sign up for the beta.
Why can't we see any gameplay footage?
Because then it'll look like an MMO.
These screenshots with only one or two people doing nothing ALMOST make it look like a legit Elder Scrolls experience.

I have signed up. I'm just hoping and keeping my fingers crossed that I get access to the beta!

Too bad they did what WoW did and fucked the existing lore to hell :v:

because GW2 invented MMO sieges and was absolutely the only game ever made to feature these

DO you REALLY think I'm only talking about sieges?
I'm not going to stop you from being hyped and getting disappointed but don't deny it.
Hopefully they un-fucked the Orsimer too

He's not really that big, he's just dressing in layers.
Just let me see some fucking gameplay, every MMO sounds good on paper.

Please yes. This would be an absolute dream come true.
Unless, of course, the game isn't very good. But still.
Article made me excited.
Wow it does sound a lot better then it did a few months ago.

Rev3Games video of such things.
MMORPGs these days cant get one thing right: the RPG part. The reason why wow is doing so "great" is because it has many RPG elements. If its only grind and no RPG or anything to do or interact with the world it is going to fail.
But the defining question is, Can I really climb that mountain?
I'm remaining quietly optimistic about this. As it stands I'd kinda like to play it anyway to explore other regions of Tamriel
