• Installing windows 7 from an other hard drive

Hello, facepunch! Here I am again, and at this time I have a trouble with installing a new OS on my parents computer (Hard drive B). I have a windows 7 ISO file on my own hard drive (hard drive A), and I have it connected to my parents computer. I would have mounted the ISO file on a DVD, if I had a working DVD drive. So, I have formatted the B hard drive, and I already tried installing W7 on it, and it worked fine untill I booted up without hard drive A. I got this error: NTLDR is missing. Click alt + ctrl + del to reboot. Halp? I also have a bunch of music, photos and text documents backed up on my A drive. Oh and I'm using xp on my own computer
You have to burn the iso to a DVD, you pirate. Also, wrong section.
You have to burn the iso to a DVD, you pirate. Also, wrong section.
Oh shat! I didn't notice that there are subcatergories. Anyway as I said, I can't burn the iso to a dvd. Every time I tried to do so, I got a weird error and I already tried to google ansvers for it. I updated my dvd drive drivers, used other dvds and other software. And having a windows installer iso on my computer doesn't make me a pirate : )
Can't be done. Though try to make it into a bootable usb or something, that might work. Provided you have a stick large enough. And provided you can boot from USB.
Le fu! I quess ill try to make a bootable usb stick tomorrow then. But how can I make sure my mobo/bios supports booting from an usb device? Its a cheapy model bought around 2-2.5 years ago
Alright I'm getting really frustrated now. I managed to burn the iso to a dvd using an other dvd drive. But now as I boot from the dvd, the only laguage I can choose is spanish, even though if I start the install from the hard drive, I have several laguages to choose from.
