So what they mean is, they just want to force people into buying more cards.
I feel like this is going to result in a system where it'll be a pain in the ass to get the cards you actually need for your deck. Hopefully there'll be a way to get themed booster packs.
Other than that, I like it. Does away with the problem of a crappy economy that plagues every TCG. Its impossible to get a competitive deck for Magic unless you shell out hundreds to get certain key cards. And Blizzard doesn't have to worry at all about account phishing.
Honestly, that's one of my favorite parts of playing Magic, getting to trade cards to people, cutting deals here and there, and everyone benefits as long as we make sure no one is getting shafted in deals.
Really seems like just a way to generate more money for the game.
It is no doubt an easy for Blizzard to get some extra cash from people, but don't forget it is possible to obtain cards in ways other than buying boosters with gold and/or real money.
Levelling your class up gives you cards, you can disenchant what you don't need to get dust and make it into a card you want, or you can test your luck in the arena and win gold, boosters or dust.

How can they get money out of us inferior humans? By not letting us trade with one another freely, and instead using mechanics made to utilize some system that they can sell you a convenience on. I kind of think Diablo 3 came after the idea of its auction house, also
As a kid with a past deeply rooted in the Pokemon TCG, trading was like, half the fun. What the hell, Blizz.
Maybe it's just so people pay money for cards, but when you have p2p dealing things get really messy with RMT and other bullshit. It's actually best for them to leave it out.
