I just got a BSOD for no reason whatsoever, I was just sitting watching Netflix and talking to someone on Steam.
Also every so often my windows color scheme gets reverted to basic and sometimes when I open photoshop it tells me something about failure to open something graphics related.
Any and all help on any of this would be appreciated.
Did you check event viewer?
[editline]7th August 2011[/editline]
Because if you have you can search the event id and look it up on google but I have no idea if its going to help.
Okay I'm not sure if I'm looking at this correctly but Kernal-Power is listed under the dropdown on "Critical".
Is my PSU not able to put out enough power?
No its not that its just the computer stating you restarted it.

Believe me iv had this problem before and i have a 850w Power supply and it gives that problem out to me also when my computer freezes.

Is it event id 41?
Mmmk, where should I look now to find out about the BSOD?
Now does it display the blue screen or does the computer just lockup and show the mouse cursor being unresponsive and the keyboard unresponsive and the frozen image of your computer?
[editline]7th August 2011[/editline]
It would be nice if you displayed some specs also. and a log of the bluescreen
Well if there is any that is.

I have the same problem as you right now so if it freezes while i give you advice i cant help you.
Anyways you may have to try chkdsk or do a memtest If you find anything in bad sectors on chkdsk you can find out what files are corrupted
I've never had it happen before.
It wasn't a literal blue screen, but it said blue screen on the dialog, I can't remember what it said the exact reason was.

I do have a .dmp file that was created the same day as the BSOD in Windows/Minidump but I can't open it in anything.

It wasn't this error but it was exactly like that with a black background.
Now try and run chkdsk and bring back the results of the log it made

So you've never had this problem before and its just happening now?
Did you download anything in the last hour?

Is it possible that something could have failed on your graphics card and gave you a Bsod?
I try to run chkdsk and it immediately closes after opening.
Wow wait what how is that even possible?
I needed to run it as admin.
Does it make a log of the results or anything?
Because it closes after it's finished.
Yeah, it makes a log.
Where is it located?
No idea. But i can blindly see a log that it makes but i might be wrong but was there anything in bad sectors?
