The tens of thousands that log in every day probably do.
also people found a way to dupe gold on the ah with this patch and basicly killed the game economy.
blizzard turned ah off, now people wondering if they going to do a rollback or not.

My friend still plays it. He has been logging on daily for the past few weeks
I'm waiting for someone to mistakenly call him Diablo just because they use the same goddamn picture.
I find it hilarious that they nerfed some of the enemies in the game.
As if the game wasn't easy enough.
The word on /v/ is that this patch has given the ability to players to dupe trillions of gold. And they are saying the RMAH is now fucked.
call me when there is an Offline mode
despite some your continued whining and complaining about the game, Blizzard has actually taken some steps to improve it unlike some companies that basically release their game and then leave it for dead the instant it's released.

pre-nerf updates, some of the blue mob and yellow champs in Inferno were just downright unfair unless you spent hours upon hours farming gold to buy shit off the AH. Now they've introduced Monster Power which with each level from 1-10 increases the difficulty of every mob in the act. No MP is your basic which means that most of the mobs are pretty damn easy now but once you hit the higher levels of MP it starts to get ridiculous. at MP 10 most champs and their adds will one hit you unless you have high resistances/ungodly amount of DPS but they're still doable and the loot that they drop has been much improved over the last few patches.

call me when people stop fucking whining about this. In D3's case it's not that big of a deal. Of course it was when it was released but, they've vastly improved their servers and I've had no problems with them whatsoever since the games initial release. If people are still so butthurt over this they should realize that D3 was made to be an online game. Don't like it, don't play it and stop fucking whining.

It wasn't that they were too hard, it was that they were too grindy. Nobody wanted to do coop because enemies just became even more tedious to kill than they already were. This is Blizzard's on-going attempt to make multiplayer seem more palatable.
I just boot up D3 after months of inactivity to find that the most recent update was bugged. And was then booted to apply a hot fix...so annoying. Some things never change.

I'd rather not be bored out my mind until Inferno each time I start a new character.
If Normal-Hell difficulties scaled with Monster Power in the same way Inferno does, there wouldn't be a problem. I could make Normal difficulty as challenging as I like, and enjoy a challenging game right off the bat. Unfortunately, Blizzard continues to balance the game around farming, making special changes for the people who prefer to farm items/paragon levels all day rather than enjoy the game normally, as evidenced by the monster density changes.
Even Path of Exile has major issues, with basically every build involving HP stacking, with only a few good skills in the game. It doesn't matter how good your character build is, you're going to need high-level gear with perfect stats and every resistance maxed to even finish Merciless difficulty at a normal pace.
I really enjoy RPGs, but the balance issues in these games irritate me to no end. Diablo III is mind-numbingly easy until Inferno, and Path of Exile requires most character builds to grind in order to reach end-game. I want to play to progress, not grind to progress, and in order for the experience to be considered "not grinding", the pace at which I progress must be steady and on par. I don't want to grind the same area for hours to gain levels or items required to progress at a normal pace. I must make steady progress for as long as I play the game, without frustrating losses, such as XP loss on death. Having perfect gear shouldn't be necessary to reach end-game, getting perfect gear should be what you do in end-game.
But hey, that's just my opinion. I'm neither the hardcore player who enjoys farming for loot, nor am I the casual who wants his hand held with easy difficulty settings. It's hard to find my place in the RPG genre.
EDIT:
Wow, I just typed a rant about PoE in response to a Diablo III news thread, what is wrong with me
Thought the title was talking about the first Diablo.
Got confused and excited.
Why would they update Diablo 1? Isn't it abandon ware at this point? I don't think it even comes in their battle chest anymore.
