I'm using an IDE->SATA converter, which is:

I plugged it in all right,
Put the power into the converter,
Plugged the converter into the motherboard,
Attached the sata cable from the hdd to the converter
Put power into the converter.
I booted up Windows Server 2003, and i found it on Disk Manager, and i set the drive letter, and then it disappeared.
Now I can't find it on Windows Server, but i can find it on the BIOS, and the light is on on the adaptor, so it means it's working.
SATA drivers?
I don't think it needs SATA drivers.
The guy at the computer store said it wasn't a great idea to use an adaptor, he said they aren't very stable and are "sometimes working".
I'll test that and put my boot onto the 1tb hard drive on a 4gb partition.
