Okay, so I'm extremely excited for the upcoming release for Crysis 2, but I'm fairly certain that my current PC will barely run 20 FPS all low settings on that game, so what I need help with is finding a pre-built PC that will be able to run Crysis 1 or 2 at high/max settings with at least 40 FPS on average.
I checked on Google, but there are so many choices, and I honestly don't know the differences, but what caught my eye is this one: http://www.avadirect.com/product_details_configurator.asp?PRID=17791&9=17945&10=17945&45=16830&54=2448
The Nvidia 3D looks really nifty, but if you can find a better one, please let me know!
Oh, and I know that building my own PC will save me a lot of money, but I'd prefer just to get a pre-build.
I'm not sure about good pre-built gaming systems. Just make sure you don't get alienware.
Also if you live somewhere that has a Frys Electronics then can assemble a computer there with parts you choose, which is nice if you don't want to worry about putting everything together and such.

And that AVA Direct thing's case looks extremely shitty. And it doesn't have sandy bridge?
$375 dollars to get the case painted red? hahhahah
To tell you the truth, I have no idea what most things are. I know a little of graphics cards, but everything else I don't know squat.
But I do know NOT to get Alienware because of their overpriced PC's.
You won't prefer buying a prebuilt when you see how much building it yourself will save you in terms of dosh.
You will get ripped off no matter what if you try spending $2000 on a prebuilt. Building a gaming PC gets you much more bang for buck, and it's actually very easy. If you are too afraid to build it yourself, then use Ibuypower.com
However, if you do decide to build (It actually is VERY easy, and there are very good tutorials online) then make a thread in the PC Building subsection with your requirements and details.

Go down in the PC Building section, give them a budget, they'll make you a build.
Use the instructions above to put it together.

The reason we suggest building is not for our own personal gain; its to save you -tons- of money and spend the money you do optimally. Building a computer is not hard at all, and chances are you can find someone you know, or a local business to put your computer together once you aquire the parts we tell you to order. I can't emphasize enough how much more you will enjoy a computer being custom built; in fact, if you do custom build you're talking a 20-40% increase of performance/dollar spent.
build one
Late Comment: Building a PC will be much better and cheaper then getting a prebuilt.
Though, if you want to get a prebuilt, I would go for something at IBuyPower.
How is this funny?
Because of how retardedly unbalanced they are.

Ummm, how does that make it funny?
Build.
The guy is asking for a fucking pre-built not if he should build or not.
If you really want a pre-built, the best company in my opinion, is puget. Go for one of the echos, you can take a look yourself for customizing purposes:http://www.pugetsystems.com/
However, I think I speak for the majority of facepunch, when I say you should build a pc instead.
I made the mistake of spending $2000 on a Dell PC once.
Not that it was bad, mind you, and I thought it was great when I got it, but I sure as hell wouldn't think that now.
If you don't mind horrible support then go for a Dell (please don't.)
We need a sticky that says something along the lines of "Asking for a prebuilt will result in us telling you to build your own".

Everyone here would rather he build it himself than blow all his money on a piece of crap.

ibuypower.com
You can get a top-end prebuilt from ibuypower.com where you can choose everything from the ground up, so no shit mobos, no shit PSUs.
HOWEVER, a $2000 pre-built will not NEARLY be as good as a $2000 home-built. It won't even compare the slightest.
$2000 will buy you the parts to build a rediculous computer. It would get you the best CPU and GPU currently on the market.
However, it will get you a pretty average prebuilt.
I just built my first PC, and it was retardedly easy to do.
Build it yourself would be my clear answer. It's really easy, and parts can actually take alot more than you think. And why should it be hard to assemble a computer? There's simply no reason to make it hard, as there the chinese folks who assemble it, and the repair-folks to repair it. Alot people think "Oh, it's hard, so therefore we must send it to the repair-dudes! Otherwise we'll break something.", and they really fail to see the logic; why should it be hard? Is it hard to assemble an Ikea wardrobe? No. Is it possible to fuck something up? Yes. Do you do that? No. Not unless you're really a retard, or Michael J. fox. PC manufacturers wants to make it so simple to assemble a computer, that even their chinese workers can assemble them fast. So if a chinese under-payed worker can do it, why can't you? You can learn how to do it from looking up guides, and if it doesn't fit, it doesn't go there. Simply, just don't go in the bum, when there's another hole for it.
You prefer pre-built because you're lazy. Just build it and save the $300+. Learn some discipline and watch some instructional videos and whatnot.
Be a man, build a computer!
facepunch is so nice...
Build it fool - you'll save A SHIT ton of MONEY - 300+ that can be spent elsewere in the system 2000 is a really nice working budget
If you are getting it for just crysis 2, why not buy a 360 for 150$
if not, then just build it, it's like putting together expensive and breakable lego
You will regret getting a pre-built.
