(1) San Jose Sharks vs. (2) Chicago Blackhawks After six long years, Thornton, Marleau, and the Sharks have finally broken the 2nd round playoff curse and have made the Western Conference Finals since their series with the Flames. The Sharks, after a devastating early first round exit last season, completely changed their bottom six, and adding sharpshooter Dany Heatley. Though, the biggest player for SJ has been Joe Pavelski, who has dominated in the two series, along with Thornton and Marleau, who sealed the series against Detroit. They look to advance to the SCF for the first time in franchise history using their size and grit to outmuscle the Hawks. Chicago on the other hand, is not new to the WCFs, having lost in them to the Red Wings last season. Now, they look to finally recapture the Cup and end the longest NHL Cup drought of 39 years. With their speed, offensive prowess, and the unrivaled pressure of their special teams, along with new addition Marian Hossa, and led by franchise forwards Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews, they hope to end the Sharks' high hopes. Players to Watch: Sharks: Joe Pavelski, Joe Thornton, Patrick Marleau, Dan Boyle. Hawks: Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Marian Hossa, Duncan Keith. (7) Philadelphia Flyers vs. (8) Montreal Canadiens Clinching the playoffs with a shootout win, the Flyers were a very streaky team throughout the regular season, but have hit their stride in the playoffs. After humiliating the Devils, they quickly went down three games in the series versus the Bruins. In miraculous comeback fashion though, the Flyers, led by Richards, Briere, and Gagne, stunned the world as they were the first team in 35 years (1975 NY Islanders) to rally back from a 3-0 deficit to win a series. Their quick, dynamic offense, and solid defense led by new addition Chris Pronger look to continue on to the SCF. However, the biggest story has been the Cinderella story of the Montreal Canadiens. Originally criticized for their offseason moves, the Habs have shocked the world, as they upset the first seed Washington Capitals, who were picked by many to win the Cup, and then upset last year's champions, the Pittsburgh Penguins. These two series victories were made possible by Jaroslav Halak, who, originally a backup goalie, played lights out in both series, and is undefeated facing elimination, proving to be very clutch for the Habs, along with former Flame and equally clutch Michael Cammalleri, who has lit the lamp in key situations, and leads the playoffs with 12 goals. Their defense has also been a key factor, as rookie PK Subban, Hal Gill, and Andrei Markov have played a dominating defense. Their supreme goaltending and defense look to edge them into another Cup victory. Players to Watch Flyers: Mike Richards, Danny Briere, Simon Gagne, Claude Giroux, Chris Pronger. Canadiens: Jaroslav Halak, Michael Cammalleri, PK Subban, Hal Gill, Brian Gionta. Joe Pavelski Patrick Marleau (series clinching goal vs Detroit) Patrick Kane Jaroslav Halak Simon Gagne And because I'm completely biased: GO SHARKS!!!!

That Patrick Kane pic totally needs a dick photoshop. But, to stay on topic, I like the Sharks too.

I wanna see the Hawks make it to the finals and lose so it will be 3 years in a row of Hossa making it to the finals and not getting the cup. fuckng hossa.
I hate all the teams still in it, this sucks.
Yeah, I am used to the Flames at least being in there for the first round before being knocked out, it makes me somewhat interested in watching, I have not paid any attention to the Playoffs this year because they didn't get in. :saddowns: [editline]02:44AM[/editline] They did kind of completely blow this year though.
This should keep me entertained until the world cup

Halak is crazy good.
Going for the Flyers for no other reason than Laviolette earning the Canes a Stanley Cup in '06.
