Missile Defense Staff Warned To Stop Surfing Porn Sites

Individuals identified as violating the rules face referral for “appropriate” disciplinary action, he wrote. They put “their security clearances in jeopardy, and are subject to suspension and removal from federal service or MDA sponsored contracts.”
Agency spokesman Rick Lehner said in an e-mail that the memo was written in response to “a few people downloading material from some websites that were known to have had virus and malware issues.”[/quote]

I can sympathize with them. Missile defense duty is extraordinarily boring. Just imagine sitting in an office all day staring at a screen, with nothing really to entertain yourself. At least in my job, while it is often frustrating, I am able to have a lot of fun doing it because I am moving around and I get to see the fruits of my labor take off. These guys just sit at a computer all day waiting for a call.

In regards to the malware dangers, that's understandable, but surely the Pentagon's missile defense has enough resources to let their chaps let off a few "missiles" every now and again? Then again it's important to watch out for the missiles, so make sure you can multitask and have the windows side-by-side.
