Things along the lines of the 5-Minute Brownie and the such. Something that you can make when you don't have much on you.
Omelet. The base of it is basically eggs and that's about it, and you can add whatever the hell you want to it. And it's fast.
Weird, was just gonna make a thread like this. Anyway, Tortilla Pizzas. 1 Tortilla, Marinara Sauce, and Mozzerella. Smear that Marinara on the tortilla and sprinkle a load of cheese, and microwave for 30 secs. Fucking delicious.
Cut up and saute kielbasa and peppers in chopped onion and butter. Season with cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste. done and delicious. edit You could probably also add chopped bacon when with the onion bits.
buy meatballs put them in the microwave

Shits delicious. I've never cooked it myself though.
you are meant to put a bit more into it than *just* ground/minced beef. most recipes use a can of chopped tomatoes and various vegetables normally including onion and carrot (at least). also mashed potato takes time and effort to prepare, so as tasty as this dish is, it's hardly "easy to make in a short amount of time with minimal resources" also if it's beef it's called Cottage Pie. Shepherd's Pie is made with lamb. :eng101: [editline]24th May 2011[/editline] ultimate quick and easy dish; pesto pasta ingredients: - pesto - pasta to prepare: - cook pasta - stir pesto through - enjoy
Not really super quick to make but: 1.Get that Conchiglie 2.cook that Conchiglie 3. In a separate saucepan a generous loading of tomato paste and some hot water to thin it out. Add spices of choice (my choice is dried diced chili, bit of garlic powder, bit of oregano, tiny bit of thyme, and generous black pepper and a hint of salt) 4. let Sauce thicken, add a teaspoon of flour. 5. Drain conchiglie and throw a small amount of butter in there. 6. Mix together sauce and pasta very well, this is quite important since you want the sauce to go inside the conchiglie shells to avoid having any dry pasta. I call it: Molto veloce e pasta piccante You can use penne or regular Gomito pastas since noodle or ribbon cut pastas have a 'straining' effect on the sauce in which the water in it all goes down to the bottom.
Alright I got a great little snack/quick meal with just a few ingredients. All you need is: Tortilla Shredded Cheese Tortilla Chips Salsa/Hot Sauce (optional) It's basically nachos (just chips and cheese) but in a tortilla for portability. What you do is just take a tortilla, sprinkle some shredded cheese on that bitch, then take some tortilla chips and break them into small pieces (not TOO small) and sprinkle them on the cheese, add another layer of cheese, and pop it in the microwave for 30-50 seconds (until cheese is mostly melted). You can add some hot sauce or salsa now (or dip it in later). Then you take that shit and roll it into a burrito. It's just like a cheese wrap but with a nice little crunch and the taste of tortilla chips. Experiment with different nacho toppings in the burrito if you'd like.
Potatoes with veggies
Basically all you need is potatoes cut in pieces, some oil of your choice, onions and any other veggies of your choice then just stick in in the oven at 200°C for about 20-30min. Just taste the potato if your unsure if it's baked. Good veggies to add are: Carrots Tomatoes Sweet peppers (we call it paprika) These peppers are good (chilli or regular not hot) [editline]4th June 2011[/editline]
Ice Cream
Oh I bet you bunch like ice cream. Here's an easy home made ice cream mix: 4 eggs 8 spoons of sugar 1 sour cream 1 vanilla sugar 1 sweet whipped cream (the kind you get in a carton box like 200ml) This is the kind you don't cook, so the eggs need to be fresh and you need to eat this when you freeze it, don't keep it for days, eat it the same day. Just whip the cream and mix the rest in and freeze it.

Bacon. Frying pan. Medium heat.
Quesadillas 1. Get at least two tortillas 2. Put a load of cheese on one (add meat and/or taco sauces if you want) 3. Stick the other one on top 4. Microwave for 1:50. 5. Use butter knife or pizza cutter to cut into two or four pieces pizza-style.
Bacon. Frying pan. Medium heat.
I cook bacon in the oven. You don't get the satisfying sizzle of frying bacon but its cleaner and easier.
how is it cleaner and easier? if you fry it you just have to wash the hot pan quickly under the tap and it's clean if you cook it in the oven you have to clean the grill and the grill tray - much more effort

I guess if you don't use stone its not cleaner... Also i have aluminum foil lining the bottom of my oven so i just change it when it needs to be changed. But if you're making a big breakfast for a lot of people cooking bacon in the oven is easier because you don't have to flip it, you just let it cook until its the desired crispyness.

Anyone know quick and easy recipes for these?
You can throw your burgers in the oven so you don't have to flip them too, but they taste so much better when cooked the right way.
on the barbecue? :v:
on the barbecue? :v:
Unless you have one of those stove-top grill racks
You can throw your burgers in the oven so you don't have to flip them too, but they taste so much better when cooked the right way.
it tastes exactly the same. when i fry bacon in a pan i don't grease the pan before hand i just throw the bacon on and its fries in its own fat. It does the same thing in the oven. My mom cooks burgers in the oven though... I'll barbecue in the middle of the winter if I have to.
Jacketed potatoes: - wash potato off - pierce potato with fork a couple of times - put it in the microwave for about 10 minutes on high - let it cool for a few minutes - cut a cross into the potato and scoop out the potato - mash it up with a fork and mix in sour cream and a bit of butter - put it back in the skin and you're good to go You don't have to mash it as it tastes fine straight from the microwave, apart from being a bit bland [editline]11th June 2011[/editline]
Try it, it tastes great.
Anything taste great with sour cream. Speaking of which, sour cream and cheese on a tortilla.
I don't care for sour cream. On anything...

Instant Mini Pizza. Any kind of cheese Tomato slices French Bread Olive Oil 1. Put olive oil on the french bread. 2. Place a slice of cheese on the bread. 3. Place a slice of tomato on the cheese. 4. Microwave. 5. Enjoy!
Great chicken sandwich: 1 clove of garlic (you can add more or no garlic at all if you prefer.) dash of cayenne pepper dash of salt sprinkle of basil 1 chicken breast some cooking oil. 1. Thaw your chicken if needed and then butterfly it. 2. begin heating up your pan on medium, i prefer a cast iron skillet. 3. sprinkle on the garlic, Chopped or minced (again its your choice) and everything else in the list. 4. place a sheet of plastic wrap over the chicken and pound it until its noticeably thinner but not so thin its almost "see through" 5. put a small amount of oil into the pan, a few tablespoons worth or barely enough to cover the pan if its small. 6.place it seasoning side down and cook for 5 minutes. There will be lots of splattering so be careful. 7.While its cooking on that side, I normally sprinkle on a little more salt and cayenne pepper because that's the way i like it. Its up to you though what you season with here. 8.After 5 minutes is up, flip it over(carefully) with a pair of tongs. and cook for another 4 or 5 minutes until done I usually eat this on a two pieces of toasted white bread with a bit of mayo, mustard and lettuce, if we have any.
Ramen stir fry: 1 pack of ramen Some meat Some green onion 2 tablespoons of oil 2 tablespoons of soy sauce 1. Cook your noodles as the pack says. 2. Eat The pic was made with beef ramen and steak slices. [editline]15th June 2011[/editline]
That doesn't sound very good.
It's DIVINE.
