Over the past 10 years, Facepunch has been an integral part of my life, mostly as a source of entertainment and now, fond memories of the early days of Gmod and the comics and machinima that spawned from it. I've seen some awesome people and some pretty terrible people, I've made friends and had a great load of laughs with a lot of people from here. I've seen posts and threads that have made me laugh, cry, sad, happy, angry and at peace, I've interacted with a load of fun people, from all over the world, I've had people try to help and actually help me, I've tried to help and helped others. Even meeting up with a few of them on the very rare chance that I could. So happy (belated) 10th birthday Facepunch, I hope there is many more to come!
Facepunch changed my life. My English skills improved so much since 2005 it's amazing. Shame basically everything pre 2009 is lost forever, I'd love to laugh at my early shitty English. A few weeks ago I actually sent garry a thank you letter since when I was made gold that led to a series of events that improved my life tenfold and I couldn't be happier. I doubt he has read it though. (Edit: Just checked, I have a message receipt, so he's read it :D) Thanks garry. Thanks for wondering if manhacks can pull a bed frame.
So many countless hours lost to browsing this forum over the years I wonder how many decades it will live on for.
Even though I joined quite late(had been lurking since summer 2011), I've gotta say I love this forum and that I spend most of my time on the internet in it. It has it's ups and downs like everything but at this moment I don't know where I would go if fp closed down. Hoping it will last another sweet decade.
I joined in January 2005, if only I did a few days earlier and I would have been a 04'er like Rayven Good times back then with Wooden Wars in Gmod with DaveP and some others whose names I've forgotten
Facepunch changed my life. Did we use to play Gmod together back in 05-06?
It changed my life too, not only did FP and GMod help me cope with my initial back problems and depression, by distracting me with things to read, but I've also gotten involved with other communities thanks to it, made a ton of friends, some of whom I've played countless hours of games with (Orkel and World of Tanks is a particular standout, always a laugh to be had) To top it all off, I made friends with someone on here, who ended up becoming my fiancée and my best friend.

I was a mapper, released a few maps at the time. EDIT: Or maybe you know me from Ogame, I spent a lot of time on that too. Thanks 10 years old MSN chatlogs. EDIT2: I completely missed you mentioning DaveP in your post. I'd be proud of remembering his name but I cheated with chatlogs.
Woah I've been here for more than 8 years already, like goddamn
Facepunch <3
I've met some really cool people here who I don't get to talk to nearly enough anymore due to school. Glad I finally stopped lurking and actually made an account.
man when im old and in the future with like hoverboards and lightsabers and shit im gunna be like "nigga i wanna go on facepunch why'd that shit have to close down"
Thanks to Facepunch, I know how to type properly on the Internet, became a lot more critical of my news sources and how I take in information, got into graphic design, got into video editing, got into PC gaming, etc. Thank you Facepunch.
because we all know this is going to kick the bucket some day in our long lives.
I generally lurk, but it's always nice to browse. Thanks for being a good leech of my time Facepunch <3 To this day I don't know how I managed to rack up so many posts.
because we all know this is going to kick the bucket some day in our long lives.
Have faith in there being an online museum that this place will be a part of so you can look back and wish.
I've only been a member here for a short time, but the people here have really been so friendly and welcoming to me I imagine I'll be here for a long time to come.
facepunch is pretty cool helped me learn english a lot helped me meet some cool people and i only ever got permabanned once so that's pretty cool
YourFriendJoe is perma'd, Big Dumb American is modded, GD rules compliance just passed 4000. A new golden age is ahead.
I've lurked/posted here for 40% of my lifetime. Jesus christ, that's mad when you think about it.
Facepunch has introduced me to so many people over the years and has showed me so much Here's to the next ten years ya bunch of cheeky cunts
this place exposed my innocent little brain to furries
Facepunch and Garry's Mod helped me get into programming as a hobby, and ultimately got me my job as a Software Engineer recently. I really don't know where I would be without all the people here, especially in the programming section.
FP retaught me how to spell. And now I add u's to words that shouldnt have them, like colour and favourite. I miss smartness.
Hard to believe. I owe lots to Facepunch, hope to continue seeing you all for the next ten years <3
Before facepunch I thought there were no real nice people, only those who insult each other all day, at least it was like that at the time when playing gmod or css, maybe I just was unlucky. Then I just wanted to post in an sCars thread but had to register. Now I'm stuck here and I'm actually happy about that. Not only has my English improved, but so did my common sense. I actually think now before doing certain things, wow. Big thanks to the creationist corner who kinda forced me into learning how to use Photoshop just to be part of the fun. Now I actually not only do it for fun but also for a little money. You also got me really into drawing which is why I've been drawing so damn much the last 3 years, even though I'm still not very good at it. All I can do is sketches of dumb objects and cats, I want to finally finish something ffs. Hope you never leave my life fp, you changed me into a way better person and it would be a shame if you'd just dissappear. [sp] sorry for being so damn shy too, I'm just scared that I would fuck something up. That's why I rarely answer chats in steam. [/sp]
Yay i'm getting old. I'd like to add that despite my low post count - I've been actively watching you all for nearly a decade.
Great to see that this forum has gotten exponentially better with every passing year.
Facepunch, and all the crap I've written here over the years, actually inspired me to go on and become a journalist. So that's fun. Anyway, it's been a great experience. If I had to do it again, I probably wouldn't. I've wasted so much time here. I don't think anything could replace it, though, it's really helped me become who I am.
top site, this facepunch place
Facepunch made me a smarter person. Thanks people.
