The specifications are as follows(mind you it's an old build). Windows XP Home Edition SP3 Processor: Intel Pentium 4 2.66GHz Memory: 1GB DDR PC3200 AGP Video: Nvidia GeForce 6800 GS/XT DVI-out Primary 160GB PATA 7200RPM Secondary 36GB PATA 7200RPM SoundCard: Soundblaster Audigy 7.1 I'm asking 150-200 for it. That's in USD. The set of 5.1 surround speakers is an extra 20, but even still, this is primarilly about the PC itself. Am I getting a deal? Or should I up the price? Or am I taking him for a sucker..
I wouldn't buy that for more than $150.
Depending on who you're selling it to you might be able to squeeze $300 outta that.
I wouldn't buy that for more than $150.
So I set a reasonable price, you think?
Depending on who you're selling it to you might be able to squeeze $300 outta that.
Well, here's the thing. The person I am selling it to has a basic knowledge of a lot of things regarding PC hardware. And since I'm not including a monitor, I think 200 is fair enough. But in the end I will try to squeeze as much as possible out of it. Considering in it's time I spent upwards of 800 on the bastard.
So I set a reasonable price, you think?
I would say so.
350
$175 - $200 seems about right, it would play Source games just fine at about 40FPS or so, which is plenty playable.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116511 The license is worth about half of the $200. I'd ask for a little bit more personally.
$150-175 is fine. I gave my P4 3.4 GHz, 1.5 GB RAM, 80 GB Hard drive and AGP Radeon X1950 Pro system away for less than that.
350
Serious? I'm currently leaning towards setting it at 225 and seeing how much I can get by haggling the price a bit.
Serious? I'm currently leaning towards setting it at 225 and seeing how much I can get by haggling the price a bit.
350 Or best offer will probably get you the best cash [editline]01:20AM[/editline] you can't resale the key it is against the ToS
350 Or best offer will probably get you the best cash
See, I'm glad I made this thread. I needed a genius like you to tell me to start at a high rate, then let them haggle their way down from there. And 350 is probably a fair spot to start with the haggling. I expect it to drop by at least 75 on the next offer though. Either way, like you said, it's probably the best way to get a best deal. I suppose I could throw in a wireless mouse and keyboard combo to sweeten the deal. Both of which would add about 40 dollars to the price tag, but if I start at 350, I'd have the best chance at getting the highest offer.
yeah just do a BUY IT NOW for XXX usually works the best I found
I wouldn't pay for it, you've got to be a gigantic sucker to pay for that.
More as in.... How much?
JohnEdwards has the right idea. ;)
you can't resale the key it is against the ToS
I never knew that. Thanks.
I wouldn't pay for it, you've got to be a gigantic sucker to pay for that.
Someone will. Look at it this way: Not so long ago I was looking for a broken 360 on Ebay so that I could use the case for a small server. (I like servers, I have lots of server stuff.) I found that a lot of them which were broken, had no warranty, people had attempted to fix the RROD and failed etc were going for nearly the same price as new 360's. Another example is the 360 wireless headset - People were paying new prices for used headsets. People on Ebay are fucking stupid.
If its on Ebay just put this in teh title/description:
GAMING/OFFICE PC 7:1 SOUND FAST GAMING NVIDIA GRAPHICS CARD WITH A MASSIVE 512MB OF VRAM 1 GB OF SUPER DDR RAM AMAZING PENTIUM 4 @ 2.66GHZ WITH HT TECHNOLOGY WITH 5:1 SURROUND GAMING/MOVIE SPEAKERS AND TWO HARDRIVES SO YOU WILL NEVER RUN OUT OF SPACE A TOTAL OF 196GBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then you can put the price at 500$ or so
If its on Ebay just put this in teh title/description: Then you can put the price at 500$ or so
Fix'r up'r :clint:
So if you sell a computer on Ebay, how do you ship it without knowing something's going to get messed up?
Well you could then sell a pc with faulty hard drives/graphic cards/etc and say its shippings fault, make the person complain to them.

I'd never pay more than 150 for that...
That is a brilliant Idea, brb selling broken shit
brb, selling my broken wii with wii sports and its own wii controller and wii nunchuck for 500$ Seriously, this was all the rage 3 years ago.
I wouldn't pay for it, you've got to be a gigantic sucker to pay for that.
This thread got shit on by this post. It's not on Ebay, and I'd say 200$ for it is pretty fair(including a keyboard, mouse, and speakers).
But if you intend on negotiating the price, what every you do for the love of god don't start on the price you want. Start higher.
