Well after getting awesome new parts like my Haf 922, Phenom 2 x4 945, and a new motherboard. I find out my PSU is a piece of shit, because it keeps losing power to my 4870. Everytime I try to play a game like BF BC 2 it will display a red led light and the screen will go black.
So, I need a good PSU to power what I said above and future graphics cards like a 5850.
What PSU did you purchase?

Hec 750w, do not tell me how stupid I was to get it, I understand I was mentally impaired when I made the purchase. D:
Strange, HEC normally makes fairly decent PSUs. It wouldn't be my first choice by any means, but it's not one that I would avoid at all costs like Logisys or Broadway
[editline]03:18AM[/editline]
Also, what is your budget?
I've heard stories of those exploding.
[QUOTE=ferrus;20525701]I've heard stories of those exploding.[/QUOTE]
I've heard stories of other cheap power supplies exploding, but never of HEC power supplies exploding.

Below $100
I'll go ahead and assume that's US dollars.
Here are some good power supplies from great brands:

Yeah I was, thanks for the links and recommendations everyone.

Get the silverstone or the antec neo. They have the best amperage on the +12v rail.
There is also this:

But it's a recert. Being PC P&C I can't think of anything that could possibly go wrong with it though.

Baw Coolermaster extremes is not a "great brand"

I found nothing wrong with the ones I bought.
Corsair is the best PSU brand imo
[QUOTE=thf;20532667]Corsair is the best PSU brand imo[/QUOTE]
Naw. They're pretty good, but Silverstone and PC Power and Cooling have them beat by a long run.

HEC makes horrible powersupplies, there's always people complaining about how their HEC cases came with the most pathetic attempt of a powersupply in human excistance.

Sigh, i'm out of here.

The ones in the cases are pretty terrible, but if you spend more than $30 on one they work fine.
Also, what is your issue with PC P&C?

Don't talk about something you don't know about.
I reccomend Corsair, my new PSU (3 days old) seems very sturdy and they seem to have very good support.

That does not mean Coolermaster is a great brand.
When you think of Coolermaster, you think cases, and to a lesser degree, fans and cooling.
Corsair, upper tier Antecs, XFX, Silverstone, and PC Power and Cooling( before it was incorporated) are known as the top brands of PSUs, and as such, their prices reflect their quality.

they have, what, one PSU?
[QUOTE=FHamster;20541444]When you think of Coolermaster, you think cases, and to a lesser degree, fans and cooling.[/QUOTE]
when I think XFX I think graphics cards
and when I think Antec, I also think cases :downs:
XFX=GPU
Antec=cases
I don't think of PSUs for either of those.
[editline]11:47PM[/editline]
I even have an Antec PSU and a cooler master case and I'm still more likely to think cases for antec and PSUs for cooler master

Cooler Master's power supplies are generally underpowered and aren't very efficient.
[editline]06:51PM[/editline]
I'm not saying they're bad, at all, but OCZ makes better power supplies for cheaper.
[editline]06:51PM[/editline]
And Antec, and Corsair, and Thermaltake.
[editline]06:52PM[/editline]
XFX also has some extremely nice power supplies.
XFX has 2 extremely good PSUs
They are royalty and do not want to get involved in low quality shit.
[QUOTE=FHamster;20542652]XFX has 2 extremely good PSUs

They have never let me down.

Me too. Antec 520w and a haf 922

Truth based on what? Your attempt to sound like you know all about PC Power and Cooling?
