I had two ATI radeon HD 4770 cards running in crossfire, recently one of them died. Since they don't sell those cards anymore I replaced it with a HD4850, so i'm running a HD4770 and a HD4850 in crossfire. When I started my pc again it said my drivers were broken. If I try to install those drivers the program extracts all the installation files to the specified folder, asks me if i want to Deinstall old software or install new. Clicking either of those options crashes the install. I tried reinstalling my old drivers but they didn't work either. I'm currently running Windows 7 64 bits. I would like to get to gaming again so help would be appreciated.
Did you try downloading them from ATI's site?
Yep, that's where i got the new drivers.

I've found what seems to be the problem. The HD4770 will only do crossfire with another HD4770, even though the shop told me it would work with the HD4850.

Let me guess, GeekSquad? Never listen to them. They're morons.
