• Unbuntu 404'd: BOOTMGR is Missing

My PC is refusing to boot my Unbuntu 11.10 partition. I installed Unbuntu 11.10 onto my secondary disk drive in my PC alongside Windows 7 64-Bit (Windows 7 is my primary OS). Whenever I go to boot Unbuntu, i am presented with an error stating that BOOTMGR is missing. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to restart. I have previously had Unbuntu working on exactly the same installation. Just for some reason one day it decided to present me with this error. I can't exactly remember, but I'm sure before Windows Boot Manager used to show Unbuntu as an option to boot from. Now it doesn't. And i have no idea how to get it back. Does anyone know how I would go about getting Unbuntu working again? Many Thanks!
Generally people Install GRUB as a boot manager. I think you might have installed it on the wrong hard drive. Try making the system boot the other hard drive. If that fails, You might want to try this: http://www.supergrubdisk.org/ The other option is to boot into the win7 disk and select the repair option.
I'll try it tomorrow when I have the time. I already tried the win7 disk and it reported no errors. EDIT: I got it working now! Thanks to SOPA, the website you linked was dark. So i had to use some other boot tool. After doing this, i was able to boot properly and everything is now working fine. Thanks for the help!
Or you could use EasyBCD.
