there are several encryption algorithms that are pretty well uncrackable. RSA-4096 was only recently broken a few years ago by putting a microphone to the CPU's voltage regulator while it was decrypting the data

I think the attack mentioned was done in a nice sterile lab environment, but its up there with listening to keystrokes and knowing what key is being pressed based on how loud each key press is.
Its very much possible, look at timing attacks for another interesting example for very precise cracking
