Just a short preview, I'm not ready to release the entire track yet. Any thoughts on what I have so far?

this is really nice, maybe could use a little more progression after the arp hits though
Agreed, but I'm not finished adding instruments yet. You may have noticed that there's no bass yet. Once I get a few more, that will help with some of the progression issues. Thanks for the comment
I likey. The kick needs a little more...kick, though. Just a LITTLE bit, not too much or it will drown out the rest of the song. The mixing is fantastic.

Intro melody is nice, I'm not too high on the effect that sounds like a cold summer breeze though, I think it's way overused in electronic music, you could probably lower the volume of it though to make it stick more in the background.
The kick is really good, it could do well with some more oomph though. The cymbal that hits between every kick should probably be more pronounched though, currently it sounds like the kick is clipping which I think lowers the overall quality. Main melody is good, it's driving along very well and doesn't get boring. What other instruments do you plan on adding? I think finding a similar but varied melody to throw in every now and then could spice it up, so that you can keep the melody churning without really changing that much.
I still need a bass synth. The kick used to be a lot more pronounced but I turned it down because my shitty subwoofer was buzzing when I had my friends listening to it, I forgot to put it back. The effect that sounds like a "cold summer breeze," and I assume you mean the FX sweep that builds to the next bar, is very commonplace in trance, I agree. I'm still using it in this track though because I feel like it matches the atmosphere I built.
I'll see what I can do about adding some extra melody. I haven't really thought about doing that. Thank you for the comments
The intro is really nice and the rest is good too.
I have a bass synth and another new synth added. New progression as well and the climax is now 16 bars longer. I'll upload another preview once I'm a little more satisfied with how things turn out.
Did you make that lead synth? If so, with what? If not, what's it called?
Yes, I designed all of the sounds myself except for the piano, which is a sample.

I use Reason 5 and Record 1.5, did it with the program's instruments.
That's just a trance synth sound I've been wanting to play with. I haven't really attempted to create it myself, though. I'm lazy, what can I say.
Anyways, I think the drums definitely need more punch. The synths and other instruments imply a much more intense piece of techno, but the drums don't deliver. Other than that, I like it a lot and it all coheres nicely.
This was also a synth that I attempted to create many times and failed to do so. I just recently figured it out. So, I'll help you out. I know that this is done with Reason instruments, so I'll try to explain the synthesis as best as I can so that you can try to recreate it on another synth/program.

This is the bare bone synth. A single saw tooth oscillator, a saw tooth multi-oscillator, and pulse wave oscillator. The voice of the synth doesn't really matter as the next steps give it that deep plucked sound. Make whatever you want and get a unique sound if you'd like. All three oscillators run through the low pass ladder filter. I have the frequency tuned town a bit and added a bit of resonance. I also turned the envelope up on the filter. The second two synths feed through another low pass ladder filter, but the single saw tooth oscillator does not. The second filter has the same settings as the first. Both feed into the amp. The filter envelope is very important here as this is where you adjust how the filters effect your sound. I have the attack turned all the way down, with a little bit of decay, a little more sustain, and some release as well. The amp envelope shapes the plucked sound with the attack turned down and a low decay, sustain, and release.

Next, in order to give the pluck a much larger and filling sound, I duplicated it twice and panned one instance hard left and the other hard right, leaving the original sitting in the middle. This technique is perfect for making any sound stand out a lot more.

Lastly, I equalized the sound to my personal preference. I cut out some of the low to low-mid frequencies for a less muddy sound, upped the mid frequencies and finally tweaked the high end up a bit. I put it through the maximizer, turned off the limiter and have soft clip turned on and all the way up. This will keep the sound from peaking too high. I slapped on a delay, and as icing on the cake, programmed a custom reverb patch to ease the sound into the atmosphere I already established.
As for notes, I just play it in chords for a large and powerful sound. Tada!
Updated OP with finished track.
