I wouldn't consider the Halo series to be known for it's multiplayer
It's multiplayer isn't very memorable, it's story would be more so imo

the campaigns are always good
but for me the first halos multiplayer/campaign got me to love everything

It's multiplayer is what popularized online play for console games. Until Halo 2, online multiplayer was mostly a PC-only thing.
Halo 4 trailer goes in depth on multiplayer, while Microsoft shuts it down on youtube. :v:

I kinda disagree. I LOVE the campaigns, everyone does, but the multiplayer was what really made the game famous.
People getting together for Halo system link parties and whatnot is why the series got so HUGE and really why the first XBOX managed to stay afloat.

Halo was the stereotypical multiplayer game with Counter Strike before Call of Duty made it big
Multiplayer is the best thing about Halo for me.
