I've never even actually tried Freespace 2, a long, long while ago a friend gave me Starlancer, Freelancer and Independence War: Edge of Chaos, all of which I adored but he lost his copy of Freespace 2 and I never got around to sorting that out
I think I'll try it. I always loved Freelancer and Tie Fighter/X-Wing but I never tried any other space games.
Seriously, if you can run it, get the SCP project and the graphics upgrades; they make an awesome game even better.
Also, I have to wonder if they retained the permissive license the game originally shipped with. :v:
check out the homeworld total conversion for freespace if you haven't. all it needs is the latest revision of FSO with your copy of fs1
