• Help on finding good paintings/artists from the medieval ages?

Hey guys, I hope this is the proper section to post this thread in. I was wondering if perhaps some of you had some knowledge of good artists and paintings made during the medieval ages? I have an assignment in school which at first seemed fairly easy: "Find a painting you like from the medieval ages and present it in class next Friday". Well the major problem I've come across so far, is that I can't find many good artists during this period. Is there anything you could recommend that I should take a look at? [editline]11:53AM[/editline] Never mind. Based on the little information I can find, probably not many of you would care much more about this era. I did find one painting I enjoyed somewhat, I say that hopefully will do.

I hope it really is from the middle ages though. From what I understood of those times, they had not learned to use perspective properly yet. It's not a painting as such, it's embroidered cloth, but perhaps something like the Bayeux Tapestry might be what you're looking for? It tells the story of the Norman conquest of England.
Thanks Chesty, sadly the Bayeux Tapestry was from the age right before the middle ages :(
