This is my first time building my own computer for any purpose, and it would be nice to have some help from some more experienced people. Any suggested changes are appreciated. I will be using this desktop for mild gaming (TF2, Portal, GMod, HL2 games etc.) and programs like Photoshop.
I need suggestions on how to make this rig cheaper and I would love if anyone pointed out compatibility issues before I buy anything.
This is what I have so far...

I would recommend you spend a little bit more on the case/monitor if you are working with photoshop. Asus is notorious for their color infidelity on monitors.
And I prefer the CM elite over the centurion... I've worked with both.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119161
Updated with new monitor... I don't know anything about the brands. Would I be better off with Hanns or Acer?
PSU is overkill, get one of these instead:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341012
The only reason to get the OCZ over the Silverstone is that the OCZ has all sleeved cables, if you don't care about that, then go with the Silverstone.
Also Acer > Hanns but LG and Samsung are the brands you want to shoot for.
If you're doing anything color sensitive definitely get one of these monitors. They're the cheapest IPS panel monitors out there and dell is great at making monitors.
300 for 1080p imo isn't worth it. If you really want color response pick up a Trinitron monitor, not an IPS.
That build looks pretty nice, nothing I would necessarily change except for the mouse lol. If you're looking to upgrade the computer in the future I'd suggest keeping your current PSU but right now it is kinda overkill.
Updated with an Antec 500W PSU; apparently they're fairly reliable?
Also, I used the money saved from that to upgrade to a Samsung monitor.

No, that PSU sucks
Antec is reliable, but overpriced
[editline]11:17PM[/editline]
and that particular one sucks
Get this one

do it
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119106
Cheaper case after shipping.
Updated with the suggested power supply.
The case I'm not too fussy about.
I know there are PC building tutorials floating around, I've read a few. Are there any guides that you guys would recommend?
[editline]Edit[/editline]
Factored in cost for OS.
[editline]Edit[/editline]
Forgot I need a CD/DVD drive.. Which of these?

This CD burner.
And you don't need a cooler, it comes with one.

Do I need a sound card? Or does the motherboard have an integrated thing?

Your motherboard will have integrated.
Try to get a better GPU. 5750 is a bit lacking for modern games at 1080

It runs best at 1440x900.
I'm not going to be running Crysis on Very High. And I don't really think I can afford an upgrade.
Plus, I don't have a huge monitor. It's recommended resolution is at 1600x900, a bit away from 1080, at least from what little I understand about resolution.
[editline]Edit[/editline]
What if I dropped the Samsung monitor to an Asus, save $30, then use that money to put towards a 5770 over the 5750?

Sounds like a good plan to me.
I'm thinking of grabbing this over the current 5750. Will I need to upgrade my PSU if I do?
Also, I noticed the memory I selected is rated at DDR3 1600, whereas the motherboard is rated for DDR3 2200/1333/1066/800. Is this a problem?
