In addition, an exclusive show previewing the final match will be presented on ESPN2 on Sunday at 8:30 pm Pacific. Live access to ESPN2 is also available on digital platforms via WatchESPN. This year's International, happening at a sold out KeyArena in Seattle, WA this Friday thru Monday (July 18-22), features a record-breaking prize pool of over $10 mil - the largest ever for a competitive gaming tournament. And for the first time, viewers can watch all the matches, interviews, and analysis happening over the course of the four-day event on ESPN3, accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app, and streamed on televisions through Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. On Sunday, viewers can tune in to ESPN2 for an exclusive preview of the tournament's final match, featuring highlights from the games, expert analysis, plus interviews with the players and Valve's Gabe Newell. Your move, Riot.
Riot's playing checkers, when Valve is playing Chess.
Riot just got their shit wrecked. Now we wait for mad reactionaries on fp who are behind the times.
Wow I love the international 2014 its may favorite multi national gregorian year!
Too bad I got too much stuff to do :(

Wonder how many people in Riot's marketing division are jumping out of their windows now
it IS espn3 but i guess it is on tv now.
#productionvalue
Wonder how many people in Riot's marketing division are jumping out of their windows now
Probably a lot. Riot went from "we communicate 1 on 1 with everyone in our community!" to "Well... We kinda hear some of you guys over at Reddit but we honestly don't care." I play a lot of Dota and League and it sucks to see Riot drop the ball but makes me happy that Valve is there to catch it.
Oh boy, hopefully the servers are stable.
Wonder how many people in Riot's marketing division are jumping out of their windows now
at least riot doesnt use multiple channels to inflate overall viewer count
Oh boy, hopefully the servers are stable.
99% of people will probably still be watching on twitch.
at least riot doesnt use multiple channels to inflate overall viewer count
how are you even defending riot, every time i go into the LoL thread you're complaining about something in the game
fucking yesssssssssss i can't wait for this to start
The reason it is on TV is there is NO baseball, hockey, NASCAR, basketball, or football on. We have the MLS and WNBA. E: might have baseball miiiiight
LCS has consistently more viewers compared to a one off event like the international the stadium that the season 3 finals were held in is larger than the one the international is held in league is played by more people worldwide than dota league has been talked about by espn before but hey at least you guys have a preview show (not even the full game) on espn2, good on ya guys
if esports gonna be on ESPN why couldnt they at least be good games like street fighter or something
how are you even defending riot, every time i go into the LoL thread you're complaining about something in the game
riot have done more to make it seen as a legitimate sport than dota has
at least riot doesnt use multiple channels to inflate overall viewer count
Inflating the numbers because everybody who watches it will watch it on all available site?
riot have done more to make it seen as a legitimate sport than dota has
As much as I love League, to anyone who doesn't play either game, this statement is wrong.

No shit that a game with the audience the size that lol has pulls in more people.
at least riot doesnt use multiple channels to inflate overall viewer count
just out of curiosity, when did you take that screenshot? because right now there's no games going on in the internationals I hate to continue this stupid debate, I really do, but I'm just curious.
at least riot doesnt use multiple channels to inflate overall viewer count
Yeah that's cuz we have a full-featured in-game live spectating and replay system that has DVR-like time controls and benefits for spectating games through the client. Of course we don't watch it with plebian video streaming with compression and shit.
at least riot doesnt use multiple channels to inflate overall viewer count
I can't believe that the Twitch vieweres photo argument would be used here.
I can't believe that the Twitch vieweres photo argument would be used here.
What's even better is that Dota 2 during the group stage before eliminations was 250k+ alone on twitch.
