Germany, France, Poland and Spain all voted as the four-day poll came to a climax. First results will be announced after last polls close at 21:00 GMT. The election is the biggest exercise in multi-national democracy in the world. One of the parties expected to do well, France's National Front, said it was leading in exit polls - but accused the French government of vote-rigging. Leader Marine Le Pen said after seeing exit polls: "Clearly we are in the lead".
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-27567744
The UK's party leaders are awaiting the results of elections to the European Parliament, the first nationwide test of electoral opinion for four years. Voting took place on Thursday but results will not be announced until after polls close in other European Union member states at 22:00 BST. A total of 73 MEPs will be elected from nine regions in England as well as Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
BBC results page How did you vote? - Facepunch 2014 European Election Poll created by Jsm
Go S&D. Maybe we can crawl out of this austerity binge.
It already came. extreme right/nationalist etc wins in France with about 25%, in denmark with 20%, greece 20%
"Extreme right" is a bit harsh when it comes to the Danish People's Party (they're basically like SF, just much more anti-EU and anti-immigration), but yeah you're right it's pretty fucked up. The bigger problem here is the centralized patent court. And really, part of the shocking result is because of Lars Løkke completely fucking up. Venstre lost 6% of the vote in basically a week and a half. [editline]25th May 2014[/editline] Also you should add the patent reform to the Danish poll.

They've certainly deserved their go even if I'm extremely skeptical about whether or not most right wing populists can stand up to address economical and foreign policy matters past the usual "limit immigration" and "disintegrate Europe". edit: of course their ideological closeness to russia and the most fucked up statements are very alarming also.
Denmark's current exit-polls and counts put DF at about 26%. In other news, I'm pulling a Donetsk. My house is now the People's Republic of Rilltopia. [editline]25th May 2014[/editline] I accept anyone who is not a shitdick into my nation.
German results are 36,5% Union (conservatives) 27,1% SPD (social democrats) 10,8% Grüne (greens) 7,5% Linke (left wing) 7,1% AFD (euro-sceptics) 3,1% FDP (liberals) 8,7% others Union 35,5 SPD 27,1 Grüne 10,8 FDP 3,3 Linke 7,5 AfD 7, Sonst 8,7
Exit polls are suggesting EPP "winning" with 211 seats and S&D second with 193. Kinda hope its a bit off.. [editline]25th May 2014[/editline] No change in Cyprus http://europedecides.eu/results/cy/
North east England results just came through. Labour 1st, UKIP 2nd, Conservatives 3rd, Lib Dems 4th, Greens 5th Labour got 2 seats, UKIP got 1

At least less CDU/CSU (Union) though. That Die Grünen got more votes again is nice, AfD getting that many is not.
Are all the results for the South East not out yet because I can't see any on this page for it http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/politics/eu-regions/E15000008
Lol, the PVV went down from 12.7% in the 2009 elections to 7.9%, I'm so pleased right now.
Is this a real thing?
I fucking love the expression of that guy at the desk. He's all oh come on not this shit again [editline]25th May 2014[/editline] I'd post the polish results but I'm to embarrassed.
Is this a real thing?
Since I probably don't have to answer the original question, I'll add some context: This is a real traditional style (from Bavaria) and people do dress like that occasionally. (Bavaria is pretty conservative though.) Trachten exist in some form in every region here I think, but it's definitely most pronounced in Bavaria. Personally I think it looks silly, but I'm from the opposite corner of the country so I have a bit of a culture shock in regards to everything that happens here. Especially the music. [editline]25th May 2014[/editline] Someone who is actually from here please correct me if I got anything wrong, I more or less just moved here and this is not a topic I want to dive into beyond the first few Google results.
Lol, the PVV went down from 12.7% in the 2009 elections to 7.9%, I'm so pleased right now.
But.. but.. I thought every Dutch resident wanted Moroccans out of this country but we were all too afraid to say so..
East of England: UKIP 1st, Con 2nd, Lab 3rd UKIP got 3 seats, Con got 3, Labour got 1 UKIP's now winning overall in seats
Note to self: Don't try to automerge in SH.
I voted Pirates and they didn't get a seat, oh well, I didn't really expect them to. At least they get the money for the votes they had.
Romania: PSD+PC+UNPR: 16 seats, supports S&D PNL: 6 seats, supports ALDE PDL: 4 seats, supports PPE UDMR: 3 seats, supports PPE PMP: 2 seats, supports PPE Mircea Diaconu: 1 independent
-snip read smurfy's-
Swedish Pirate Party lost their two mandates :( and nationalist racist shitbag parties are gaining all over Europe. What a shitty sunday.
David Cameron should step outside number 10 and privatise the NHS right there and then because clearly this is what everyone wants. Maybe that way people would learn a thing or two about voting for parties that actually share your views.
UK Greens are ahead of the Lib Dems lol
Haha holy shit the german satire party "die PARTEI" almost got a seat and barely missed it.
Pretty happy, the party I voted for ended up second and if the pirates are succesful in their constitutional complaint.
UKIP just gained two more seats in the East Midlands. Conservative gained 2 and labour 1. Liberal Democrats doing, understandably, bad.
