• A company by the name of Recon made their own Google Glass. That is actually cooler.

You would look like a massive douche wearing that in the street. Its up there with tacticool bluetooth headsets.
They're cooler, but they still look goofy as fuck.
Wearing them outside is basically painting a big 'please mug me' sign on your face.
they look waaay uglier than google glass
Its too big for my liking.
But it's just one of those tiny displays, it doesn't actually project the image into the eye (or whatever glass does)
We'll just have to wait till they incorporate HUDs into the shades.
Only buy if you are cosplaying JC Denton.
glass doesnt project anything either, its just a small display reflected off a prism so you can see through it and so its more compact
Definitely not cooler. That thing looks made for douche bag losers. And what they're advertising that it can do does not look plausible at all.
reminds me of the scouters in DBZ
their product for ski goggles actually looks sort of nice.
dem dubsteps.
I still dont like the idea of having a GSM transmitter next to my head at all times.
Meh. I'd rather see some widely promoted EyeTaps (which capture video from the exact same viewpoint as the wearer's and project the computer generated images directly onto their eyes).
tacticool golfing
Now you don't even have to try to be like Tiger Woods!
Looks like the hardware is very much comparable to Google Glass and they haven't shown us the software yet, unless they actually want surgeons to wear sunglasses during the operation and have developed medical equipment that connects to those glasses.
Ive demoed a pair of RI ski goggles, they fucking suck for most people and are damn near impossible to use if you have glasses
glass doesnt project anything either, its just a small display reflected off a prism so you can see through it and so its more compact
How is it not projecting into your eye? It creates light and the light gets reflected into your eye. That's pretty much the definition of projection.
I'll just wait for Adam Jensen's mech aug glasses...
but is it cheaper?
Atleast Google's getting some competition, that's better than them being the only ones who makes these new things. I'll pass though, personally I think Googles look and seem better in alot of ways
amazing already signed up for test ride
Ugly and douchey, just like Glass and bluetooth headsets. I wonder why the glasses have any computing built into them. Wouldn't it be better to bluetooth them to a phone that handles processing and internet communication so the glasses are nothing but a camera, display, and mic?
They don't look better than google glass, just fucked up in a different way
I don't understand how wearing this / Glass / a Bluetooth headset would make a person look like a "douchebag". Someone explain?
I don't understand how wearing this / Glass / a Bluetooth headset would make a person look like a "douchebag". And this is stupid as fuck because it looks like you can just detach the actual projection element anyways and leave behind the awful looking frames.
this looks like something i would wear while playing Nerf at my mum's house
I dunno i don't really see that much reason to have a glasses which displays information, right now i got a phone which does that but then better and on a bigger screen. Unless its going Oclulus big where we the entire view changes into some HUD.
