Since restrictions on pistols were bought in after Dunblane there's been a large rise in shootings and deaths. MAC 10s are popular according to the Cops because they increase street rep. On the news they were saying how you can pick one up for £1000 easily.
The guy who did this probably owned the gun legally. Once every month or so someone kills their kid then commits suicide. These tend to happen in spates of two or three what with the media making a fuss.

You've got to be shitting me. People get shot here all the time. Guy in Rusholme was shot after armed goons demanded his suitcase or something like that. And another guy heard worrying noise outside, opened his front door, and was shot fatally in the chest.
