Hi,
I'm looking for a wireless chiclet keyboard. That's basically a really thin keyboard with really thin keys, like the opposite of the popular IBM Model M. Most netbooks and a lot of laptops have these keyboards.
Here's a picture of a chiclet:

That is the Emprex 6311ARF III. I would buy that, except I can't find anywhere that sells it. It's on the Emprex site, but no suppliers seem to have it.
Anyway, I've looked at a couple, there's a wireless sony vaio one for like £100 which is way too expensive. My budget is about £30. I don't want the Apple one because it's white, I want something black.
Has anyone seen any decent ones around?
Thanks
Oh man I love chiclet keys. I saw one a few days ago at Fry's for $40(USD) that was rather small, wireless, had a tiny trackball on it and mouse buttons. I almost got it. I'm gonna go back sometime this week and get one if I can.
I think Emprex concentrate their market around Asia. Good luck finding it in other places.
I got a chiclet keyboard for like $10, its wired though. Couldn't find a wireless one.
Have you checked your local computer store?
Like the mac keyboard?
I like being able to press keys on my keyboard

I've never really liked the feel of chiclet keyboards, even rubber domes feel nicer to type on than those. But they do look nice in some cases, and are usually very small.
Unless you don't do a lot of typing I really don't see the point in buying them, if you type a lot having some kind of feedback that you have pressed a key is much more sensible.
eww, those keyboards are awful
gah chiclets i can't stand them
you push the key like 1mm then it stops and you're like wat
Logitech have stacks of chiclet keyboards in your price range.
Check Dealextreme for a knockoff Apple keyboard, though note that they can sometimes take up to 3 weeks to ship with the free shipping option.
Remove the springs from an ordinary keyboard. Done. :downs:

comparing my current keyboard, a bluetooth apple one (logickeyboard, it's a photoshop keys on) and my wired apple chiclet, you see no springs on either, and a scissor mechanism on the chiclet (like a laptop keyboard)

I like having a very short travel on my keys. It makes them feel a lot quicker and more responsive.
you could buy the apple one and get a broken black MacBook keyboard, and then swap the keys over
