"display driver stopped responding and has successfully recovered"
this is the message I get every-time I try to run a proccesor-intensive (gmod, skyrim, tf2 etc.) game recently.
these games have almost never given me trouble until now. What happens is that I open the game and get to the main-menu with no issues but whenever I start to play the game I get a few seconds of lag then it boots me to desktop with the game still running in the background and the message "display driver stopped responding and has successfully recovered".
I have no clue how to fix this and this has happened to me only once before when i first received my computer and i fixed that oddly enough by removing and re-inserting my graphics card.
I have looked elsewhere on the internet and I have tried changing my power settings and (obviously) updating my drivers neither have worked. I also have put my computer specs into a power supply calculator and its telling me i should be putting out enough power for my hardware so im clueless right now

thank you for your help in advance.
Did you try doing the same thing as last time? Removing and reinserting the graphics card? Other than that, I'd check to make sure nothing is overheating
yeah, i tried to remove and reinsert it again to no avail. I'm starting to go back and look at my psu again though. I'm starting to think it might not be putting out enough power.
