So I was convinced by a few friends to restart SC since they were pretty enthusiastic players and all. So I install it back onto my computer, boot it up, and lo and behold, the left side of the screen is filled with these odd flickering black lines. To add to the adversities, there is also a large black box in the upper left hand corner which obscures my vision heavily. I don't know what went wrong, installation seemed to go by fine enough, and I haven't seen these black lines before. Any help?
And unfortunately, I can't seem to get a legitimate screen shot of the problem since, for reasons unknown, the black lines and box disappear when I take screen shots.
The instant messaging program Xfire causes this for some reason. You can go to the options in Xfire and disable the in game support for Starcraft.
