• I took a Blood Test after Smoking the Night Before! QUESTIONS

I smoked one night this week and I woke up the next morning not feeling well at all so my mom took me to the doctor. Long story short they said they wanted to check my blood for a certain issue that would show that I'm very prone to sinus infections. I'm sure the THC was still in my blood but does anyone know if a test like this would even show THC (since they aren't intentionally looking for it) and if it would be something the doctor would mention to my mom (i'm 17.)
No. If they're not testing for THC, it's not going to show up. They will inform your parents if they find out, though. But they probably won't.
Dude it was so awkward when the said it i had to pretend like taking blood scared me. I was like please just any other day and they were like did you eat and my mom chimed in no, and i was like well actually I ate a ton of food at midnight randomly and my mom was like...no you didn't. I felt like a fag and I'll feel like an even bigger fag getting caught. [editline]07:41PM[/editline] The lady kept babying me and I wanted to just tell her whats up, i was dying inside.
It's alright, babyboo. You're good.
-snip- Woah how the hell did I get in this section..
Haha. I had my blood drawn the day after I smoked a joint. They asked "do you smoke or drink" I'm like "nope and nope", both complete lies. Even if they do find it, what are they gonna do, tell your parents? Mine don't give a fuck. That was a few months ago, still didn't hear a word from my doc. Moral of the story, you'll be fine.
When my doctor asked me if I drink I just say yes. Patient confidentiality ftw.
Yeah no point worrying about blood tests for medical reasons. It's illegal for them to do anything about it, and they probably won't pick up anything they aren't looking for. You don't just "test blood" and get a list of what's in it, there are specific tests for certain types of chemicals.
there are specific tests for certain types of chemicals.
Yep, chemistry is like a study of reactions. I don't think they find anything at all.
Good thank god, I'm not worried about getting in trouble with the law btw, it's just the fact that I'm under 18 so I have to see a "Children's Pediatrician" and they could inform my parents, but I feel better now.
