Hi guys -- I am in the market for a new desktop and wanted to see what other people thought of my build. I am open to any and all criticisms, just trying to get the most bang for my buck.
I didn't include an operating system I have that already. I will likely be dual booting Win 7 and Linux.
I threw a lefty mouse in there because I am left handed and have always wanted a mouse that will fit my hand.
I put in two 1080p monitors, but am also considering just getting a big 4k. Thoughts on that would be appreciated!
Here is the build: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/McMissile/saved/YjcG3C
Thanks!
You can change the CPU from the i7-4770K to the i7-4790K, it'll get you another 0.5Ghz for a lower price (oddly enough), but taking up 4 more volts.
That's all I know, I'm still semi-new to pc parts and such,
What are your uses? If just gaming, this will give you some better performance. If not, I'll throw another up.

Wow, very nice suggestions. As for my uses, probably a mix between gaming, movies, and programming. Always open to more critiques, but I like this a lot. Thanks, Levelog
No problem. The only thing you really gain with the i7 is hyperthreading, and there are very few games that you'll see a benefit from that. And an extremely small benefit at that, especially for $100 when that could be applied to a GPU if you're looking at screens above 1080p or across multiple screens.

You can't really game on 2 monitors, you'd need 3.
For gaming a single 4K screen (or generally above 1080p at least) would probably be better, but dual screens are fantastic for desktop stuff (work/multitasking).
