So guys, I was wondering if FP thinks the the Apollo 11 moon landing was real. I think that the moon landing is real, but I can see why people back then would be skeptical. I think there is enough evidence to say that it is real though, as so far there isn't definitive proof we went there then, it's too similar to other moon landings and tests (like on mythbusters) for it to be a fake

When a meteorite hits the moon, some debris get to Earth and are partialyl burnt by the atmosphere. Even the stupidiest of geologists could say it penetrated the atmosphere just looking at it.
The ones brought by the Apollo 11 were in perfect condition, they were carried in a safe capsule within the lander module so they never came into contact with the atmosphere.
Feel free to ask about the waving flag and the lack of stars, those can be explained by I cba to type them all now.

I was watching a documentary on this last night, it's true. On thing that was pretty convincing is the fact there were Russian spys and such watching over the Apollo program, and if there was a hoax, they would have made sure the world knew.

Tens of thousands of people worked on the Apollo Missions. Atleast a few of them would've came out with some proof that it was fake.

I think its out of boredom. Its fun to believe something most people don't. Even if its completely far fetched, its interesting to see something in a different light. Bigfoot for example. Theres alot of entertaining stories to read, lots of stores out there that sell Bigfoot hunting merchandise, TV documentaries...
I'm not sure if people really believe what they say when the deny/believe in something, but going against the current makes life interesting.
